game last night was really something. was tempted to poll which is worse: jared goff's passing, rams punter's passing, hawks punter's ball handling.

however, there was this https://twitter.com/PFF_Mike/status/809610484529922048

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 16 December 2016 14:35 (nine years ago)

also, even tho i was sick of watching the bengals by like week 4, it is funny to me that bengals/steelers was flexed out of sunday night for...bucs/cowboys. i guess it is hard to take the bucs seriously even with their decent record. idk it just does not have the ring of a game i can get excited about.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 16 December 2016 14:40 (nine years ago)

WTF was Seattle doing running their punter with 6 minutes to go up 3xTDs. Dude got hurt too. That's a total Harbaugh move, but it would serve the Seahawks to have their punter go down now doing such a dumb show up move.

earlnash, Friday, 16 December 2016 14:49 (nine years ago)

my guess is they had identified a particular look/alignment from the rams that they could exploit clean up the middle and planned to take advantage whenever it came up. in the game circumstances the punter maybe should've made the call to go with a regular punt, but the plan was sound, he just was somehow stripped by empty air.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 16 December 2016 14:57 (nine years ago)

xxp even better i'd think so all the national cowboy fan homers can watch their team win and feel warm about the nfl and buy ezekial elliot jerseys

Mordy, Friday, 16 December 2016 14:59 (nine years ago)

yeah i think you've nailed it

cam really enjoys that yoghurt

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 18 December 2016 03:04 (nine years ago)

I was thinking about Bill Magill a bit when Atlanta had the epic fail losing on an 2pt conversion INT.

Cincy and Pittsburgh have had some rough schedules. Cincy is still pretty good, they just lost close games against all the playoff teams. Only game that looks awkward is losing to the Bills really, the rest are all against teams in the hunt or really good. Raiders and Bucs both are riding a good schedule, but that is the NFL.

can't believe my boys are 9-5. granted they arrived at it in typical sloppy fashion but.....after a 1-4 start, most unexpected.

Neanderthal, Sunday, 18 December 2016 05:30 (nine years ago)

calling it Thursday Night Football on Saturday is still the most jarringly dumb thing

Neanderthal, Sunday, 18 December 2016 14:15 (nine years ago)

minnesota being dismantled by the colts at home is not where i imagined this season was heading for either team

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 18 December 2016 20:13 (nine years ago)

odell beckham! awesome

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 18 December 2016 20:27 (nine years ago)

all so irritatingly familiar - looks like giants after a slow start to the season have somehow put together another championship defense. calling the threepeat vs NE right now

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 18 December 2016 20:32 (nine years ago)

wtf @ eagles! wow

FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 18 December 2016 21:09 (nine years ago)

cbs cuts over to pats-broncos as everyone's fighting over a fumbled punt and i'm like NOOOOOOO

but denver actually did this? correct?

man everybody that needed to lose this week to aid Green Bay seems to be doing so. now they win out, the division is theirs, and if Washington manages to lose this one, they're in the #6 slot as a wild card so that's an option too.

not sure how much noise they'd actually make if they did make it in, as that defense is still porous as hell, but the offense is waking up enough to make things interesting.

Neanderthal, Tuesday, 20 December 2016 04:46 (eight years ago)

ESPN's playoff standings on their website seem to be wrong. they are giving Tampa Bay the tiebreaker over Green Bay by virtue of common games, however they are both 3-2 in common games (Green Bay beating Chicago twice, Seattle once, and losing to Dallas and Atlanta, Tampa Bay going 1-1 against Atlanta, beating Chicago once, Seattle once, and losing to Dallas). Yahoo and NFL.com have it right. very weird as I see competing blogs making differing claims as to who is #6.

Neanderthal, Tuesday, 20 December 2016 22:09 (eight years ago)

Tom Savage sounds like a soap opera character name.
