One freak injury and the whole thing seems to fall into disarray. The Bengals go into half time with a lead at home during their first playoff game since Boomer Esaison, the star reciever gets into a shoving match with the head coach and then said wideout supposedly gets put into a trashcan by all pro lineman. Then said team goes out and proceeds to stink it up and start the Steelers on the way to a world title.

Forget the law breakers, Chad Johnson has some really screwy looking hair these days. I think Chad must be a General Public fan or something.

Dude in the wake of the blown knee, I think people forget that Kitna had them up at the half. There is no film or anything, but Chadrick and Marvin Lewis got into at half time over not getting him the ball and the rumor is as they were being pulled apart, Willie Anderson picked up Johnson and deposited him in a towel cart. Or at least that is the last rumored version of what happened at half time against the Steelers.

Only the Bengals can go in at half with the lead with their backup QB at home in their first playoff game in years and somehow turn it into a joke.

I don't know how good they will be this year, but I don't quite see terrible, even with all of the off season problems. I think the three big questions is how much the Browns and Ravens have improved and how good the Steelers will be. I could see the Bengals going 10-6 or 6-10. I think the AFC North is probably going to be won by a team around .500, as I don't see any of those clubs going 14-2 or something like that.

I think the league is going to be very competitive this year, there is not anyone to me that seems way above the rest of the NFL. A team might develop into a power, but as of now, it doesn't appear there is one definitive favorite. The only division that looks a little weak is the NFC West, the rest look pretty even to me.

Preseason is nothing, but the Bengals first team offense looked sharp again this week against the Colts. I'm beginning to think they might not slide as much as some people are predicting. It isn't like Marvin Lewis has not been through this off field problems before in B-more.

That preseason game against the Packers was the sole good preseason game I saw. Over by five minutes into the second quarter. Carson looks legit at the moment.

I had musical things going on Sunday afternoon, so I did not see the game, but I like what I see from the highlights and the stat sheet.

I think the Chiefs could be really terrible, so this might not be the best game to judge, but the Cinci D took KC apart with 7 sacks and held Larry Johnson below a 100 yards.
