No phrase per se, but I already blew my wad anyhow... the quick point and the thing that annoys me about football and the ppl involved is that they can't refer to football w/o the noun 'football' involved @ all times.

i.e.

'We have to do out best to play a good football game'

'he's an excellent football coach'

'the have to do better at protecting the football'

'in the game of football, the football is the most important thing on the field; not the football players, not the football coach, the football itself.'
