Allyzay'へ'凸 (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:05 (nineteen years ago)

Thankfully I think I'm going to get Carolina-Cincy and Rapees-Indy so it ain't too bad but I'm feelin' for you NYers and SFers that gotta be watching NYJ/Lions or AZ/Oakland, I mean why bother? Why not just shoot yourself in the face and call it a day?

Allyzay 'へ'凸 (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:29 (nineteen years ago)

I'll be working on Sunday. A WINNER IS ME

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:30 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, you ain't gonna be sitting around, breathlessly awaiting NE-Buffalo? Horrors.

Allyzay 'へ'凸 (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:33 (nineteen years ago)

Ha: it's either I wait to see how the software upgrade FUBAR'd my company's ability to fuck over its insurers, or wait to see if JP Losman can find new ways to give the Pasties the ball.

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:37 (nineteen years ago)

Wow sounds like a banner weekend at the Raposa estate, dude.

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:41 (nineteen years ago)

I predict a Lions victory. MIRACLE IN THE MEADOWLANDS.

Seriously, I saw the end of the Jets game last weekend and every other word out of the announcers mouth was MIRACLE IN THE MEADOWLANDS (aka 1-4 team beats 2-3 team. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE)

lk (lawrence kansas), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:46 (nineteen years ago)

They have really, really low standards for miracles in Jets country, though.

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:47 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, you ain't gonna be sitting around, breathlessly awaiting NE-Buffalo? Horrors

I WILL BE SITTING AROUND BREATHLESSLY, SOBRIETYLESSLY, WATCHING THE PATS/BUFFALO GAME. going to a bills bar to watch.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:48 (nineteen years ago)

WTF is a Bills bar! Are you going to Orchard Park?

Allyzay 'へ'凸 (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:50 (nineteen years ago)

wow this is gonna be a really really shitty week.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:51 (nineteen years ago)

This weekend will also be MOVING WEEKEND at Chez Rapso. If you feel like carrying a rarely-used exercise bike & some desk parts up a flight of stairs, CALL NOW.

Note to Rudi J: RUN THE BALL FOR MORE THAN 1.5 YPC.

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:51 (nineteen years ago)

Monday night should be pretty good. Otherwise, yeah; it's slim pickins.

What state does chez rapso reside in? I just moved myself and I've plenty of empathy.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:52 (nineteen years ago)

The electricity in the air over the Buffalo game is caused from a downed power line amirite.

lk (lawrence kansas), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:54 (nineteen years ago)

is there not a late-night game sunday?

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:54 (nineteen years ago)

Someone should change the name of this thread to "You wanna CROWN THEIR ASS? - THEN CROWN 'EM - Week 7 Shit Talk" in remberence of the awesome Denny Green press conference meltdown!

I really miss Denny, he's so much fun to have around

M@tt He1geson: Real Name, No Gimmicks (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:55 (nineteen years ago)

Tofurkey, I am in CT! Home of Joementum, nutmeg, about 15 former public represenatives convicted of crimes ranging from taking bribes to assaulting teenage girls, and (and!) now-pro b-ball players that like to steal laptops from their female counterparts. And ROMO!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:57 (nineteen years ago)

since my nephew from MI is coming to town I have to actively search for a bar showing Jets/Lions. Then I get to watch Browns/Broncos. Dave R's life is looking pretty good right now.

lk (lawrence kansas), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 13:58 (nineteen years ago)

the thing is that the bears aren't playing this week so I wanna save that one for a week in which they are definitely going to get their asses kicked.

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:04 (nineteen years ago)

good point.

i'm still fucking pissed at phoenix (and the vikings for that matter)...there's no way they should be undefeated right now.

M@tt He1geson: Real Name, No Gimmicks (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:05 (nineteen years ago)

I KNOW wtf is wrong with those two teams.

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:07 (nineteen years ago)

srsly wtf am i gonna do sunday night if i can't watch chris collinsworth be an ass?

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:16 (nineteen years ago)

well the pitt atlanta game is gonna be pretty dope imo. and by that i mean 'pretty depressing'. also that reminds me, i totally saw a hair salon in roswell this weekend that was named ROFFLES. true story.

the falcons' worst lineman was just suspended 4 steroid use lololol.

^n_n^ (Adrian Langston), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:27 (nineteen years ago)

but ya why isnt there a sunday nite game

^n_n^ (Adrian Langston), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:27 (nineteen years ago)

actually pitt/atlanta should def. be good, if the stillers play like they did last week. could be the falcons' chance to, ahem, bounce back. maybe.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 14:28 (nineteen years ago)

yeah that's the non-divisional game i've been looking forward to the most (along with philly obv). it could be a real competitive game if one (1) of our receivers learns to catch a ball!

^n_n^ (Adrian Langston), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 15:03 (nineteen years ago)

also it's practically gonna be a steeler homegame if the turnout on sunday was any indication. they might as well have called it the shockeydome :(

^n_n^ (Adrian Langston), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 15:08 (nineteen years ago)

wtf is up with people buying out Shockey jerseys. Who are these douchebags? I've never met someone who will defend Shockey, in my life!

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 15:18 (nineteen years ago)

WTF is a Bills bar! Are you going to Orchard Park?

delilah's (if i haven't f'ed up the url) is a bar that shows the bills game every week. that may have something to do with jim the bartender being a buffalo transplant.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:12 (nineteen years ago)

better call and make sure the bar has power

lk (lawrence kansas), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:14 (nineteen years ago)

amirite

lk (lawrence kansas), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:14 (nineteen years ago)

delilah's is a bills bar? thank god i never went there.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:21 (nineteen years ago)

We have a bar down here that only shows NY games (including Bills) but that basically means it's a Giants bar.

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:23 (nineteen years ago)

delilah's is a great bar. except on sundays.
i think they became a buffalo bar when the b@seb@11 fui3s moved to town and 3/4 of them started working at the same bar.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:27 (nineteen years ago)

er, furies. damn illegible googleproofing.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 16:27 (nineteen years ago)

i have high hopes for AZ raping the shit out of Oakland.

gear (gear), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 18:32 (nineteen years ago)

btw, how is it that there is as yet no discussion of the sacking of AZ's OC, along with Denny Green's accompanying "just because this man is a scapegoat, please don't think we're scapegoating him - I'm eager to find him another position within the organization."

hearditonthexico (rogermexico), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 18:32 (nineteen years ago)

lol i shouldn't have dropped leinart in my non ILX fantasy league, i'd have a pretty dope bunch of QBs then

also, feel free to discuss that I have had to work through every goddamn weekend since freaking LABOR DAY and now that I can finally spend a day comatose on the couch with some ball this schedule is my reward.

Bills fan = can't win for losing.

hearditonthexico (rogermexico), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 18:35 (nineteen years ago)

I'm going to watch the Steelers vs. Falcons game. Bring me the head of Ron Mexico!!!!

DR Z:

Dallas Cowboys (3-2)

The butler brought in the silver tray. "Here they are, sir. Made especially for you." Oh, a lovely little set of hors d'oeuvres, three small, perfectly crafted touchdown passes. In the hall you could hear the servants whispering. "Is he happy now? He won't scream at us, will he?" Well, not this week.

gear (gear), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 21:32 (nineteen years ago)

Dudes, there's no Sunday Night game because the eyes of the sports world will be focused on Detroit, Michigan as the Detroit Tigers host game 2 of the 2006 World Series. the NFL does this every year.

and actually, what they *used* to do is make up for it by having a Thursday night game that week instead, although they haven't done that for a few years. I miss Thursday night games. They used to always have two or three a season.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 23:26 (nineteen years ago)

(9ò_ó)-o Q(^.^Q) (Adrian Langston), Wednesday, 18 October 2006 23:40 (nineteen years ago)

Go Tigers and all, but come on, it's baseball. Rescheduling NFL games seems a little excessive.

hearditonthexico (rogermexico), Thursday, 19 October 2006 01:49 (nineteen years ago)

Rescheduled? I don't think it was ever on the schedule to begin with.

The Bearnaise-Stain Bears (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 19 October 2006 03:04 (nineteen years ago)

As in, scheduled around. Sheesh.

hearditonthexico (rogermexico), Thursday, 19 October 2006 03:09 (nineteen years ago)

they have thursday night games starting after thanksgiving, stormy.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 19 October 2006 15:08 (nineteen years ago)

seriously i think the only game i want to see is AZ hopefully handing it to OAK

roffles. good job on beating stillers, falcons.

hstencil (hstencil), Sunday, 22 October 2006 22:28 (nineteen years ago)

also, michael huff racked up a safety against arizona. I heard someone saying earlier this week that Huff is gonna have to become ronnie lott to justify not taking leinart. the raiders look like geniuses now. (lol@them nonetheless tho)

(9ò_ó)-o Q(^.^Q) (Adrian Langston), Sunday, 22 October 2006 22:30 (nineteen years ago)

all told, this actually was a better week than i expected.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Monday, 23 October 2006 01:27 (nineteen years ago)

I really wish CBS hadn't shown highlights of McNabb barfing all over the place.

The Bearnaise-Stain Bears (Rock Hardy), Monday, 23 October 2006 01:49 (nineteen years ago)

i really wish cbs would've carried a game other than the brown. nobody gives a fuck about them in new york, holmes.

why didn't cbs carry stillers/falcons? assholes.

it was on in chicago. i didn't realize the bears were on a bye week. went to the bar to get away from the dog i was dog sitting and was kind of pissed that my choices were miami/gb (snooze) or pit/atl which turned out to be a really good game made all the more entertaining by a degenerate gambler at the end of the bar who had atl +3 screaming occasionally at the falcons through the tv about how he needed this and that they shouldn't deprive his kids of lunch.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Monday, 23 October 2006 14:19 (nineteen years ago)

HOW ABOUT THEM VIKES?

i think we've gone into an alternate universe where Chester Taylor is the leading rusher in the NFL. craziness.

best overall vikes effort of the season.

M@tt He1geson: Real Name, No Gimmicks (Matt Helgeson), Monday, 23 October 2006 15:46 (nineteen years ago)

Carolina at Cincinnati -- WTF
Jacksonville at Houston -- WTF x 17000000000
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay -- in what way is a 62 yd kick appropriate. Poor McVomity
Pittsburgh at Atlanta -- that last-second penalty was kind of bullshit, I want Rich Eisen to expand his ask-a-capn-save-a-ref segment on Total Access to include a series of "OK, so you just explained why this was totally ok in this game...here is a clip of you, three weeks ago, saying this was bad. Please to explain, you douchey mcfuckface smug bastard" cos I'm just not understanding the inconsistency and wiles of the rules these days.
Arizona at Oakland -- LOL why did this game exist
Washington at Indianapolis -- why did Washington bother to show up? To injure Clinton Portis some more? Is that how they get their kicks?

Allyzay lives aprox. 200 feet away from a stadium (allyzay), Monday, 23 October 2006 16:37 (nineteen years ago)

i think we've gone into an alternate universe where Chester Taylor is the leading rusher in the NFL.

Steve Hutchinson in worth-the-money shocker.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Monday, 23 October 2006 16:49 (nineteen years ago)

Hutchinson is good. The LOL Cards should have spent the cash on him instead of Edge. Edge is near the age when running backs start to lose it. In other words, the Cards over-paid for a guy who will be on the scarap heap in two to three years. Stupid! Besides Arizona has a pretty good back sitting on the bench in JJ Arrington.

Ice Cream Electric (Ice Cream Electric), Monday, 23 October 2006 20:45 (nineteen years ago)

It pains me to say this as a Cal grad, but Arrington is not a pretty good back. He's mediocre at best, and I heard that the Cardinals strongly considered cutting him this summer.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Monday, 23 October 2006 21:31 (nineteen years ago)
