Humiliating Pool or Gambling Experiences

I had to stop betting on NFL games because, uh, I lost all of them. But I still take part every season in an elimination pool, where you pick one team to win (no spreads) each week, then you can't use that team again.

The league I'm in is double elimination, so lose twice and you're out.

Last season I was out in week 3. This season I managed to be out in week 2. Week 1, I picked St. Louis to beat SF on the road. Loss. Week 2, I picked Dallas to beat Washington. Loss.

At least there's nowhere to go but up, right?

Playing Trent Dilfer in Week 6 against Baltimore instead of Brian Griese against Miami. I would've had more points had I just benched Dilfer as well. At the very least, I would've beaten my opponent that week.
