I wish the NFLN would replace Deion with a tape loop of cats fucking. What the HELL is with the barbershop segment? Dude is 100% amateur hour 100% of the time. He and Michael Irvin are NOT GOOD AT BROADCASTING. NEITHER IS STERLING SHARPE. MORE FAULK/WOODSON/DUKES, LESS REPPING FOR YOUR BOYS CONSTANTLY AND CALLING IT COMMENTARY. ARGH.

That is all.

Did Aikman just say "cunts" when he was trying to say "stunts and twists"?

Deion becomes more of a tool every day.

the barbershop segments are really pointless.

jamie dukes is a pimp. rod woodson isn't really analytically interesting or entertaining so DNW imo. deion's awesome sometimes. nb. i havent really watched total access in a coupla weeks (tho i saw jeff garcia on today lmbo) so maybe he has become worse

I enjoyed Trent Dilfer recapping and analyzing all the linemen scoring touchdowns plays from today in ironical dry humor fashion. Also his argument w/ Deion vis a vis Michael Vick's Big Game qualifications was pretty amusing.

"who are you going to go to in the red zone here to get your team back in the game? you go to your best athlete, dan klecko. look at the incredible body control, twisting into the end zone. check out the spike; he's been there before."

TOMBO7 (TOMBOT), Monday, 22 January 2007 05:31 (eighteen years ago)

Deion has kind of really stopped being very...um...even-handed in his commentary. I mean, it's always been blatantly obvious that he reps a lot harder for his "boys" but he hasn't always been so dismissive and derisive of people he's decided he doesn't like. It's weird. Also: YES THE BARBERSHOP THING, PLEASE STOP.

AllyzayEisenschefterBDawkinsFlyingSquirrelRomoCrying.jpg (allyzay), Monday, 22 January 2007 05:39 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, I've really been enjoying Trent Dilfer. the ironic commentary thing was funny and last week he made lots of sensible points, including the observation that turnovers in and of themselves won't necessarily kill you.

most annoying thing about Deion's recent partisanship: he always cites Devon Hester as the reason the Bears are going to win shit, not even acknowledging that Hester dropped balls on, like, 3 returns last week.

horseshoe (horseshoe), Monday, 22 January 2007 05:47 (eighteen years ago)

I kind of enjoy Deion's exuberance, but his best insights come when he's in calm-and-dry mode.

horseshoe (horseshoe), Monday, 22 January 2007 05:53 (eighteen years ago)

actually, I think all that I enjoy about the Eisen-Sanders-Mariucci crew is exuberance. none of them is the most insightful dude around.

I miss Jamie Dukes; where has he been?

horseshoe (horseshoe), Monday, 22 January 2007 05:56 (eighteen years ago)

Deion's screed about Michael Vick which actually involved the phrase, "He obviously had nothing illegal, if it was illegal they would've said so and not be investigating everything right now" (????) was the most infuriating thing I've heard in weeks and I'm glad that Dilfer not only stepped in and was like, "OK you're borderline retarded right?" and then just went totally apeshit on how much Vick sucks anyway for like 5 minutes and they basically got thisclose to being in a shouting match until Eisen was like, "That wasn't the topic of conversation, we were discussing the weed, guys."

Dukes was in Chicago, I think? Doing something. He did a videophoner earlier in the day but then he was a no-show for GameDay.

Dukes & Faulk are always in attendance on Tuesday nights though! I feel lame for looking forward to that every week.

TOMBO7 (TOMBOT), Monday, 22 January 2007 15:30 (eighteen years ago)

i finally saw NFL network this weekend. it was at the one bar in the memphis airport that you can smoke in and they had the sound turned down but god damn i should order cable. also, does deion dress like that every week or was this something special for the playoffs? it was somewhere halfway between his sunday going to jesus best and straight up pimp wrap.

chicago kevin (chicago kevin), Monday, 22 January 2007 15:51 (eighteen years ago)

not only does he dress like that every week, that is one of only two suits he's been wearing all postseason, they both look exactly the same but the other one is gray instead of black. It was even better when he was wearing orthopedic old man sneakers with it because his feet were killing him.

TOMBO7 (TOMBOT), Monday, 22 January 2007 15:55 (eighteen years ago)

oh wow the things i have missed...

The shirt is seriously perplexing, with the enormous striped collar? What is that about?

AllyzayEisenschefterBDawkinsFlyingSquirrelRomoCrying.jpg (allyzay), Monday, 22 January 2007 16:02 (eighteen years ago)

i don't know but the head dude in charge of everyone here IS WEARING ONE JUST LIKE IT TODAY. with cuff links and a big girly looking bracelet. god i need a new fucking job.

chicago kevin (chicago kevin), Monday, 22 January 2007 16:09 (eighteen years ago)

Ask him where he bought it, so I can get one too.

AllyzayEisenschefterBDawkinsFlyingSquirrelRomoCrying.jpg (allyzay), Monday, 22 January 2007 16:10 (eighteen years ago)

i don't think i've ever had an actual conversation with him. he's been here over a year and i don't think i've ever said more than two sentences at a time to him. i see no reason to break that streak now.

chicago kevin (chicago kevin), Monday, 22 January 2007 16:13 (eighteen years ago)

Please tell me I was not the only person who saw Denny Green, in person, joining Rich Eisen's YOU WANNA CROWN 'EM segment.
