okay, apparently it was Peyton's birthday, because at the end of the show, Eli and the nonfootball-playing Manning brother brought out a diorama-like cake with "Happy Birthday, Peyton" on it and the cast + audience sang happy birthday and Peyton looked abashed and tall. I just overdosed on cute, is what I'm saying.
