portis is BFF with dan the snyder and pretty much does what he wants, afaik. there's a redskins board with one dude who has all kinds of insider gossip (have figured out that he works for a local hip hop station, so knows players & gets access from promotional events, but unlike a sports reporter, can say what he wants). i will investigate later this evening and report back.
