Dude is out of control.

this thread is way overdue.
― J0rdan S., Monday, 5 November 2007 02:14 (eighteen years ago)
watch, the pats will probably get him somehow in the offseason.
― horseshoe, Monday, 5 November 2007 02:14 (eighteen years ago)
i would not be mad at that.
― J0rdan S., Monday, 5 November 2007 02:16 (eighteen years ago)
actually i would but i would rather they clone him so i can watch him 16 times every week for 17 weeks.
madden 09 cover material. will break both knees in week 3.
― El Tomboto, Monday, 5 November 2007 02:38 (eighteen years ago)
I just don't get to see much of him, is the thing. I need to get ST.
― El Tomboto, Monday, 5 November 2007 02:39 (eighteen years ago)
(for next year)

more likely he'll get injured like he did in college.
― chicago kevin, Monday, 5 November 2007 02:39 (eighteen years ago)
i saw him in preseason vs the bears and was like O_O
i immediately moved him up in my fantasy draft queue.
― chicago kevin, Monday, 5 November 2007 02:40 (eighteen years ago)
I mean, it isn't like the Chargers have a bad run defense. Jamal Williams wasn't 100%, but he was still out there.
― polyphonic, Monday, 5 November 2007 07:19 (eighteen years ago)
he's the best back in football right now, that's weird to say for a guy that is only halfway through his first season. but damn it's so awesome to watch him every sunday.
― M@tt He1ges0n, Monday, 5 November 2007 16:44 (eighteen years ago)
also LOL at all the dipshits in MN that wanted us to trade that pick for matt schaub
― M@tt He1ges0n, Monday, 5 November 2007 19:05 (eighteen years ago)
Will someone please make Merril Hoge stop calling him "The Cashier"? It won't catch on.

TS: getting that Barry Sanders feeling every time your RB2 touches the ball vs. winning football games

this i worry abt - dude needs to learn to run out of bounds
― jhøshea, Friday, 9 November 2007 00:58 (eighteen years ago)
the idea that drafting peterson =/= winning games is faulty as fuck.
― J0rdan S., Friday, 9 November 2007 01:54 (eighteen years ago)
like obv they are gonna draft a qb in the first round this year. i doubt andre woodson or brohm— or shit a qb in the 2nd rd (like schaub)— is going to be any better/worse than schaub.
― J0rdan S., Friday, 9 November 2007 01:55 (eighteen years ago)
roger you might want to familiarize yourself with the Vikes' "murderers row" of amazing, ball dropping receivers. joe montana himself would have a tough time.
*actually sidney rice looks like he could be something someday, but it's a pretty brutal receiving corps overall
― M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 9 November 2007 03:06 (eighteen years ago)
plus the fact that the texans have only won one more game than us.
― M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 9 November 2007 03:09 (eighteen years ago)

lol I was thinking of exactly that when I posted, but I had a clean look and had to take the shot.
I still submit that they might have won a couple games more this year with Schaub throwing and C. Taylor running behind that line, but they'd be a far less exciting and promising team. Anyway, I hear McNabb may be coming available... Randy Moss, too...
― rogermexico., Friday, 9 November 2007 06:24 (eighteen years ago)
stfu radny goin nowhere !
― jhøshea, Friday, 9 November 2007 14:01 (eighteen years ago)
i'd like to think the amazing randy would be back with the pats next year but he's gonna get a toooooooonnnnn of money from someone and you know pioli doesn't move off the point once they place a monetary value on a player.
― chicago kevin, Friday, 9 November 2007 15:00 (eighteen years ago)
see david given, deion branch, adam vinatieri, etc.
― chicago kevin, Friday, 9 November 2007 15:01 (eighteen years ago)
i think he might make an exception...
― J0rdan S., Friday, 9 November 2007 15:06 (eighteen years ago)
because every single dude they've ever let go was deemed, and was basically in all cases, "replaceable". i don't think pioli's ego is so big that they would deem moss "replaceable" (and, let's face it, next to peyton he is the most irreplaceable player in the league right now), or not pay him even if they knew they couldn't get a better player for him.
i mean, they ponied up for brady, did they not?
― J0rdan S., Friday, 9 November 2007 15:08 (eighteen years ago)
i know this sounds crazy but after experiencing the lows and highs of nfl stardom might moss take the pats discount just like brady et al?
― jhøshea, Friday, 9 November 2007 15:10 (eighteen years ago)
mean, they ponied up for brady, did they not?
they got him at the number they placed on him. he took a hometown discount, made FAR less than manning despite having more rings. moss will probably have a huge number but some other team will go apeshit over him and the pats will not make exceptions.
― chicago kevin, Friday, 9 November 2007 15:30 (eighteen years ago)
i don't think pioli's ego is so big that they would deem moss "replaceable"
it's not about ego, it's about operating a business. everyone is replaceable. and inevitably they will be replaced.

i'm so scared of madden right now.
― M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 9 November 2007 22:07 (eighteen years ago)
vince young is one of the three worst qbs in the league right now (statistically). the madden curse lives.

The line's still in and they're at home. I say Chester Taylor runs wild.

2. I think the one thing I’ll always remember from the field last year happened in Detroit, early in the season. One of the linebackers came up to me—I don’t want to say who it was—and he said, “Adrian, what are you taking? What juice you using? I gotta get me some of that.” I said, “I’m juicing on the blood of Jesus. Faith is what got me to to this point.” So the Lions came to Minnesota later in the season. That same linebacker came to me and said: “I appreciate you saying that. You opened my eyes.” That was pretty cool.
