Offensive genius, my ass. Just offensive.

hard to be an offensive genius when your choices at quarterback are steve mcnair and kyle boller. that said, getting sacked in the middle of the season couldn't happen to a nicer fella.

People talk about Belichick being morose and surly. Billick makes Bill look like Mother Theresa.

i they're both cocks, but billick is a little more up front in his outward expression of contempt for others.

that team has never really had a good, in his prime qb, has it? for all the accolades ozzie newsome gets, he's got to eat it on that one unless (and i can totally see this) billick hand picks his guys or doesn't give a fuck b/c he thinks his system is so brilliant, it can work w/ anyone.

Wow, I just looked at the QB history for Baltimore. Dire is an understatement...Testaverde, Harbaugh, Dilfer, post-awesome Randall Cunningham, Boller, post-awesome McNair.

Oh, and Grbac of course.

They've got Troy Smith on the roster. The knock against Troy is he's too short for a NFL quarterback. He certainly can't be any worse than what they have now.

one month passes...

At the END of the season, apparently. He'll probably end up someone's OC somewhere.

That didn't take long now did it?

I sure hope someone signs Billick up as a coach, as I sure don't want to see him on ESPN or the NFL Network as an analyst.

I'd have to figure that Rex Ryan has to be the favorite to get the Baltimore job.

For what team could he realistically be the offensive coordinator? It would have to be a really veteran coach. Imagine him as the new OC for Nolan in SF, that would be a riot.

Or even better, as Lane Kiffin's offensive coordinator!

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in a Raiders coaches meeting if that happened.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 2 January 2008 06:44 (seventeen years ago)

Actually, hmm, Nolan used to work for Billick. I wonder if they're on good terms. That might be a good fit since SF so thoroughly needs a better OC, and Billick is just the sort of bad choice the Yorks are so good at making.
