that's nuts, I'd think the Bears at least would want to take a look, as they're a fringe playoff team that could really use a good WR, and TO can likely be had for very cheap. I doubt he's going to "destroy the team" as so many analysts put it, as he's older now and knows he can't be the center of attention anymore. why not give it a shot??

From what I read Owens didn't look very good in his workout. He's an old WR coming off a major surgery.

him going to the Bills was a big deal, but IIRC he did almost nothing there

still, he's a surefire HOF'er (in my opinion). I guess I can't really name any WR's that were any good in their mid-to-late-30's. (sadly my beloved Donny Driver is going to fall into this category)

He will be an interesting case, for sure. Rare case of a guy who is disliked by both the media AND his fellow players, but he was a great receiver who also played hard and blocked and finished plays, unlike Randy Moss.

i think with his numbers it'll be real hard not to put him in.

this was not his fault, we had a non-functional offense (basically did not have an offensive line, for example.)

It's hard to sign on in the middle of the season in general. I think he signs on somewhere next year.

he was certainly subdued. he did give a (totally otm) press conference where he trashed the bills' offensive performance and complained about not getting the ball, but it was jut the once iirc. he didn't really produce anything like his previous numbers here but seriously, trent edwards got sacked more than he attempted passes.
