in the mid 80s he was (briefly) a weekend sports anchor at the abc affiliate in boston, the sports director (the aforementioned mike lynch) was one of those dicks who take sports too seriously. olbermann used to push his buttons and unfortunately for him, lynchie was his boss. that's why he was only briefly a weekend sports anchor.

so new show was pretty...good? genuine lols (on multiple levels) that he spends the first fifteen minutes of his first show trashing the ny daily news jets beat writer. lol at mark cuban saying 'welcome to the skip bayless network'. first guest being whitlock and them then proceeding to praise deadspin was a bit surreal. had forgotten how great he was at highlights. can't really watch sportscenter anymore, i'll probably watch this.
