Virginia Tech kicks Marcus Vick off football team

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick was dismissed from the team Friday, the result of numerous legal transgressions and his unsportsmanlike conduct in the Gator Bowl.

University president Charles Steger announced the dismissal on the same day that coach Frank Beamer met with Vick and his mother in their Hampton Roads home, the school said. Beamer informed them of the decision during the meeting.

did Marcus look like a punk? hell yes, but who knows, was there trash talking? anyway, Vick will catch on somewhere .. we've seen it before, so it's on him .. he's gonna have to work real hard to rehabilitate himself. but someone will give him that chance. it's up to him

oklahoma gotta kinda jobbed from what i saw but O FUCKING WELL. very happy to see michigan take notre dame apart. wish i coulda watched the lsu-auburn game, i think auburn's the best team in the country i'm amazed it was that close if not surprised - two best teams in the ~~sec~~ west. obligatory 'HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS'.

nice win for yr boys blounty. as for oklahoma: if the call had gone the other way it would just have been a penalty and re-kick, right? all the hand-wringing about OMG WORST CALL EVAR is like a) no, even if it was wrong it wasn't the worst call of all time and b) the real issue is how OK fell the eff apart like a tender piece of tofu duck and c) dennis dixon is a maniac and d) fuck toby keith for real with his "ALL DAY" pass at Fabled Autzen Stadium which is one mothergrabber of a place to play college football and e) my home state won yay.

Texas A&M / Army also turned out to be an amazing finish last night! Army almost came back until the General Robert Ross decided it would be a good idea to run the ball from the five with no timeouts.
