lolz i know. i am just jealous of your team.

i'm bummed that the Giants are actually good. i was hoping they would be absolutely terrible so the result of that game that happened earlier this year would seem even more unjust.

i have seen every team in this division play at least twice already this year and i would say the Giants deserve to be where they are.

aside from my histrionics about the bills, though, it just kind of seems like a shame that only one or two of these teams will make it to the playoffs (can three of them make it?) while whoever wins the afc east or the nfc west will also go, you know?

i think that we should have the playoffs purely on a merit based system and do away with these freeloaders from the west anyway.

coming from somewhere where sports are organized to be rigidly rational, balanced athletic contests in which everyone plays the same teams the same number of times (ie the rest of the world) i used to scoff at the division/conference/playoffs set up but i have turned around 180 on this issue. i think there is a beautiful insanity to the way American sports work. it's certainly a more entertaining way of going about things. therefore, i am all in favor of a team from the NFC West having a 1-game, Make A Wish Foundation foray into the playoffs.

seriously. during the bills game they showed the nfc west standings (which the Arizona Cardinals lead, btw) and i was like, it's nice that all these teams compete against each other and not any real teams.

(of course, the Cards killed us, soooooo)
