I was listening to Trent Dilfer doing some commentary on ESPN radio last weekend talking about QB play, mostly discussing Ryan's current success with the Falcons. I swear that Trent Dilfer was pretty much inferring that he hates that he never got a shot with the right play calling offensive coordinator to let him air it out. It was kind of slight and the dude will always be a Superbowl winning QB, but I don't think Dilfer really had much chance at really being a big gun kind of QB. It was kind of like the game manager saying he could have been a big gun contenda.
Then again, Scott Mitchell did throw for 4000 yards for the Lions one season with Tom Moore calling plays, so who knows.
