There is Jerry Rice in the booth with Mike Carlson and a British anchor dude and it is wicked awkward!
LT's eyelashes are kinda Rihanna

They showed Rice being hit in his introduction, and he ws all "and you know what? I sprung right up after that" and the presenter just goes "Did you." like he was Jeeves or something, it was super A+++ would cringe again.

I wonder what they'll show where the ad-breaks usually are? Replays? That would be exciting!

Joss Stone is singing the National Anthem! Of Britain! Hammily!

It's really kind of weird to see in the stands all the different variety of NFL apparel being worn.
"Saints and Chargers? I know! I'll go with my cheesehead on."
I know it's more or less an exhibition game for the UK, but it's still not something you see on any given Sunday in the states.

Yeah, they were talking about a "superbowl atmosphere" but really the vibe is kind of more Pro Bowl!
OTOH it is clever how they have given Saints flags to Britishers who don't know who to support, so that it is more like a home game?

I am kind of amazed what an idyllic viewing experience this is- football, without ads!

i would like to apologize to you guys that we keep sending you really what-the-fuck-y type games
― the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Monday, 27 October 2008 19:04 (seventeen years ago)
sounds like it was an awesome game from an entertainment standpoint tho.
i enjoyed the comment by Goodell about the game being like a super bowl (except NO won, obv) and also about the possibility of a NFL franchise in London. just as likely to see an NFL franchise on the moon in our lifetime, i would say.

I think they should try harder to develop football in Germany instead of England.

London is a glamorous city choked with cash and with English speaking people. Germany having any kind of track record and a more genuinely interested potential fanbase isn't enough.
