In honor of the Steelers in the Super Bowl, it's time to revisit Terry's soulful rendition of the Hank classic.

I'll post a YSI link later if you're interested in hearing it for yourself. But he's got a formidable voice. Certainly better than that big-toothed John Elway

What about his duet with Paul McCartney of "Hard Day's Night", which they performed live during the Pats/Rams Super Bowl half-time show.

I have never heard this. Well I might've and forgot!

yeah I have a couple Mercury LPs from the mid-70s where the insert displays other albums released by the label, and there is the good ol Blond Bomber himself, prominently displayed next to the likes of Chuck Mangione and Rod Stewart...

Oh man, a friend of mine has this 7" on his home jukebox. He doesn't have a bad voice but I suspect studio trickery.

I'm sorry. I keep reading the title of this thread as C/D: Terry Bradshaw's version of Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". Surely, I'm mistaken?

I wonder if anybody made illegal copies of this, would it be known as a Quarterback bootleg?

is this available on cd?

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 23:41 (nineteen years ago)

Don't know. I saw a clip of him singing it on his SportsCentury profile. Then I had to search online for about 6 months before finally finding it.

It's definitely old, taken from when he was still playing. that's as much context as I'm aware of.
