That looks like good tv.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 19:23 (sixteen years ago)

I agree with that. The DVR will certainly be set. It would be great if this would become some sort of series, where classic games got this kind of treatment.

I liked that Atlantic piece! They've been pretty piss poor lately.

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 23:13 (sixteen years ago)

idk this whole thing scares me but it def shows me what a good and schooled coach Andy Reid is

johnny crunch, Thursday, 11 December 2008 01:05 (sixteen years ago)

This was fun.

forksclovetofu, Sunday, 14 December 2008 05:59 (sixteen years ago)

TOMBOT, Sunday, 14 December 2008 06:32 (sixteen years ago)

My stupid cable kept choking and pixelating for pretty much the whole thing, but I liked what I saw.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 December 2008 18:01 (sixteen years ago)

It was pretty good. Art Donovan is adorable.

Well done. I don't think any of the linemen (except for Parker) could play now, but some of the skill guys were great.

i don't know what this could possibly mean but i'm glad i missed this if it'd make me think a thing this insane

guys, hardly anyone from any sport 50 years ago could play today, it's called Bigger Faster Stronger.

Dr Morbius, Monday, 15 December 2008 16:27 (sixteen years ago)

schef that was abt the atlantic article. reid knows his stuff notwithstanding lol playcalling 3rd and 1 meme

johnny crunch, Monday, 15 December 2008 16:30 (sixteen years ago)

the "lol playcalling 3rd and 1 meme" encompasses a helluva lot more than 3rd and 1 bad calls. the dude sucks. i don't care how much shit he can talk about intellectually in an interview -- he's not a good game manager when it's live and time to go.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Monday, 15 December 2008 16:39 (sixteen years ago)

Scenario: Browns win tonight and Andy Reid is fired at the end of the season and Browns hire him. This was actually written in today's newspaper and shows how desperate this town is.

TOMBOT, Saturday, 20 December 2008 06:38 (sixteen years ago)

ted turner crayons aside this is actually some pretty excellent teevee. also a really sloppy and horrible football game that I'm sure most of ILNFL would deride endlessly if they were forced to endure it as the 2009 American Professional Football Championship.

Some notes so far:

1. Jacobs, Freeney and Vinatieri are some players. Pierce, otoh, comes off kinda like a talented layabout (in that takes one to know one way)
2. Dungy and Coughlin are awesome, but I think Dungy is having fun where Coughlin seems like he's actually intimidated.
3. There is some serious unconscious bigotry coming from the 1958 players, which actually makes me more proud of america, probably because of what I know 2009 brings
