A Manning versus Manning Superbowl in the works?

The NFC is the Giants to loose. The AFC is up for grabs. The Colts are hot right now, but they will have a hard road to the Superbowl, throught the Chargers, Steelers and then either Miami or Tennessee. Still the odds of that historic Manning versus Manning Superbowl are better than ever this year.

fwiw i agree and all of the vikings fans i know are inexplicably psyched for this occurance (i guess they have already given up, on these vikings?)

i really couldn't care less if this happens.. i like both peyton and eli despite, you know, their road to winning championships the past two years. just not excited about hearing 10000 sportswriters and bloggers talk about nothing else for two weeks

MODS: Can we adapt this thread into a worst-possible Super Bowl storylines thread? I thought about making a poll of such scenarios but felt unqualified to do so. Ultimately the worst would be "McNabb/Reid: Will They Fuck It Up Again?" anyway.

the most revolting storyline, which we're all fortunate to have avoided, would've been favre vs eli in the jerseybowl

Honestly, I dunno if I could handle the level of hype and proud parent interviews that a Man vs Man SB would entail.

lol I am watching some NFL network late night nonsense and realizing that if any NFC team besides the panthers or the cardinals wins out I will be happy

i dont understand you ppl from a distant past, 1957 perhaps, who think that any of these scenarios would not involve ridiculous hyping.
