I know this is a bit off topic, as it expands from the usual football discussion, but it is kind of a subject that has brought up some laughs through the season on various threads (DC autos & energy drinks & whatever crap Dan Marino is selling this week).
Today while having lunch in the local Mexican restaurant I saw one of the funniest and strangest ads being pushed by ex-athletes. The TV was on a Spanish channel and it was from some kind of 'dietary supplement' to help with prostate issues and be a 'real man' if you know what I mean. The commercial was completely in Spanish and had subtitles featuring George Gervin "de ice man", Gaylord Perry & Davey Johnson saying how good a product this stuff was.
It was really weird and I thought kind of funny.
I also noticed seeing "FOOTBALL STAR TONY ROMO" in a Walmart ad in the paper last weekend shilling for some t-shirts.
