I just took my big-ass pot of chili off the heat (it's good so far but it'll be even better tomorrow). Got beers in the fridge, and I hope the deadbeats I'm watching the game with will bring something, like lemon meringue pie. That'd be good.

For whatever reason, I have never connected the Super Bowl with eating large quantities of snacks or cheese or whatever. I watch the game like any other game: plop down with remote; stare.

When I go to the store, it is pretty obvious that people like me are few and far between.

i treat it like any other game as well, in that i will be shoveling a heinous number of snacks into my hellish maw over the course of the day.

i lapsed. my friend doug (from pgh dontchaknow?) made pulled pork bbq sammiches, and i just had to try. so good. also: cole slaw, chips, LOTS OF BEER, beer nuts, chocolate covered pretzels, etc.
