He is basically the worst thing to ever happen to the Chargers, ever. Even years after his retirement, every stupid thing he does is like a reminder of how dumb it was to take him.
I remember watching the Rose Bowl that year and thinking "Brian Griese is definitely a better quarterback than Ryan Leaf." I was right.
Could've drafted Randy Moss, but of course he had character issues. LOL

In the few minutes I watched of the first round draft, Mel Kiper Jr. did a classic backtrack stating he preferred Manning over Leaf, which was definitely not the case that year in the draft.
Jim Rome was another guy who touted the Leaf over Peyton that year in the draft.
