story here, iirc, is rex ryan cursed a lot and said the jets are the best team in the league.

apparently they told jaguar starters that they can't leave the game until they score. it's now 10-0 and eagles have had their backups in since the beginning of the second quarter -- poor guys :/

yay preseason Raiders win! I'm glad our third running back choices are Cartwright & Bennett, either one seem like they'd be a good backup.

Chargers are making a lot of friends by blitzing on almost every down in a meaningless preseason game.

^browns tried that 2nite. Like last year no QB sacks. Rodgers looked very good tonight.

what should be the odds on the following:

tim tebow leads all rookies in rushing touchdowns
tim tebow leads all denver broncos in rushing touchdowns

for the first one, his main competition is ryan matthews, but i wouldn't be surprised if his TDs are cut by gates/vincent jackson etc (assuming he comes back) -- i'd peg him for... 10/11 TDs -- i could see tebow getting him by one or two

for the second one, who is his competition? moreno is hurt, buckhalter is hurt, brandon marshall no longer exists... doesn't tebow have to be the favorite to lead them in rushing...? jj arrington?

my prediction is yes, if he's not already hurt

i mean, he is big and can run, but no qb is built to run that much unless they have real real wheels

i mean... tebow's problem running in the NFL will have very little to do with size, and much more to do with speed -- tebow is listed at 6-3, 245 -- that's bigger than every running back in the nfl, even steven jackson

that's not to say that he shouldn't avoid contact, but i don't think his chances of getting hurt are much greater than any running backs'

leinart's heart isn't in it at the nfl level

matt leinart was gifted with being in one of the most explosive passing offenses of the past 3 years and he was passed on the depth chart by a guy that was RELEASED by THE BROWNS

and yes, he clearly just does not care

well, henne looked great in exhibition game no. 1 -- but terrible in the balance of the preseason.

this being more of my concern.

it's debatable whether someone like him ever really cared about football tbh -- everything came easy to him in high school & college and when he faced adversity in the pros he didn't try hard to improve and then he just pouted

leinart's life at USC didn't prepare him for the nfl. kinda the problem when you're a decent QB stuck in a system that is tailored to you perfectly at the college level and then you go to the NFL where you're just another mediocre former college star and you yourself start to realize that fact.

yeah and also when you're playing with a team that is just exponentially more talented than any other team you play

usc's offense has been a mirage for forecasting future nfl stars since carson palmer

idk daniel... he played pretty well for a rookie w/ really minimal pass catching talent around him

i mean he's not gonna be one of the top 5 QBs in the nfl, but he was a second round pick & i'm pretty sure that he could take a team into the playoffs

well, dolphins talking about this being a big breakout season, with acquisitions of marshall and dansby. not at all convinced henne is the guy who can move us into the nfl's elite.

idk i mean... it would be foolish to think that the dolphins are gonna be an elite team in the nfl this year

they could certainly make the playoffs tho

It's not like this wasn't inevitable, but Willie Parker is now unemployed.

I think getting rid of Leinart was smart, but I also think this might be the best thing that ever happened to him.

Amazing that they couldn't even get a 7th rounder for him though.

afc east is super open this year. imo pats and jets are gonna struggle and it is kind of up to miami whether they have the stones to win the division. bills have a lot of ground to make up, but that would be so hilariously awesome that i am rooting for that over anything less than the pats in the super bowl.

i'm thinking this is going to be a 2-14 season for the bills tbh but it would be hilariously awesome if it weren't. i can see miami winning the division easy.

and if the bills can't win the division, i'd rather have it be miami than the pats or the jets.

the bills couldn't have picked a better season to absolutely tank -- 2011 QB class is the best it's been in forever
