Here are my predictions to laugh at when the season is in the books:
Dallas Cowboys: will definitely rebound, probably a 10-6 team or better
New York Giants: I can see it, but they tend to fall apart every year following the SB victory so I say no way
Philadelphia Eagles: probably not...I don't think Vick is going to have the same type of season. They should be a playoff team though
Washington Redskins: probably going 3-13 this year
Buffalo Bills: who is on this team again? Fitzpatrick and...?
Miami Dolphins: no idea where they're at...had such high hopes for them after the 11-5 season but they've really turned it down since then, probably will need a QB too
New England Patriots: they'll always be in the running, probably going to be the Vegas favorite
New York Jets: easy to pick against them, but they've done well in the playoffs despite being outmatched. They can definitely make a run. I hate to say this but Rex may be one of the best coaches working right now.
Atlanta Falcons: don't see it. They're stuck in the lair of the "very good" and I'm not sold on Ryan yet.
Carolina Panthers: maybe in 20 years?
New Orleans Saints: they haven't fired on all cylinders lately and honestly I think their SB victory was kind of a fluke - the Vikings exposed them badly and had to have a major tragedy play out on the field in order to lose. They should still make the playoffs, though.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: not this year but they have the potential to be a powerhouse in 2 years
Houston Texans: I would love to see it!! Texans fans have got to be really frustrated right now. I know this is really cliche but I predict an 8-8 season with at least one "is this the season the Texans finally put it together" game and a 4-game losing streak
Indianapolis Colts: have a good chance...the team is getting old but many of these players are playing very well. They probably won't have such bad luck with injuries next year. Can see them going 14-2 or something ridiculous.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Would love to see this too but realistically 8-8 is about the ceiling
Tennessee Titans: absolutely no idea, can't see them ripping off 7 consecutive losses or whatever they did in 2010 again. Could be a playoff team but probably will lose in the first round.
Arizona Cardinals: you have to wonder who's going to win the Larry Fitzgerald sweepstakes; even if they get a good QB, it doesn't really matter because Warner was a great QB who singlehandedly put that team of scrubs and the occasional star in the Super Bowl.
St. Louis Rams: should take the division...I hate that they paid Bradford so much but he might be worth it. Plus, he looks like a goat, which is cool.
San Francisco 49ers: went from mediocre and have been getting steadily worse. They might bottom out this year.
Seattle Seahawks: **jerk off motion**
Denver Broncos: Tebow will probably start and he'll probably do well. But their defense needs some major work.
Kansas City Chiefs: Are in for massive disappointment this season - they probably will not beat many good teams, and their record last year seems like such a fluke in retrospect.
Oakland Raiders: have a chance at contending for a playoff spot, don't really know enough about them to say but they surprised me last year.
San Diego Chargers: best team in the division (and maybe the entire AFC); they really underperformed due to a lot of flukey things, but if they don't start like crap (again) they could go 13-3 easily.
Chicago Bears: lots of luck on their side last year - they won on shaky calls (BOTH Lions games), won vs. 3rd stringers, seemed to get lots of favorable bounces and didn't suffer a single significant injury all year. I think Cutler will do well but this team should struggle to win 9 games.
Detroit Lions: seem to be the 2nd best team in the division and finished strong, but didn't the Browns rip off 4 straight in 2009 and proceed to shit the bed the next year? This may be the year where drafting high for a decade finally shows some benefits. Probably not making the playoffs but I would expect 8-8, especially if Stafford actually plays a full season.
Green Bay Packers: no reason why they can't repeat; especially with the return of Finley and Grant, they're even better now than they were last year. If they lose James Jones it may hurt, especially as Driver is not really close to a #1 right now (but still very capable). God help 'em if Rodgers gets another concussion. Should be the NFC favorites.
Minnesota Vikings: no idea - they have a lot of talent but who is going to QB? When do we start the Favre unretirement watch? (that said, do you think there's any team willing to take him at this point if he does the inconcievable?)
Baltimore Ravens: will be good, definitely have a chance
Cincinnati Bengals: **vomits all over keyboard**
Cleveland Browns: glad they fired Mangini...should be a tough team that has a chance at beating anyone, but they don't bring their A game too often. 6-10 seems right.
Pittsburgh Steelers: getting kind of old, but such so much talent you can't count them out...should be fighting for the division and/or wild card
