Noon games:

Tennessee at Pittsburgh
Seattle at NY Giants
Cincinnati at Jacksonville
New Orleans at Carolina
Oakland at Houston
Philadelphia at Buffalo
Kansas City at Indianapolis
Arizona at Minnesota

Afternoon games:
Tampa Bay at San Francisco
NY Jets at New England
San Diego at Denver

Hey Jack, it's a fact:
Green Bay at Atlanta

This whole house used to be rockin':
Chicago at Detroit

Sitthing at home, wanking it:
Cleveland, Dallas, St. Louis, Miami, Washington, Baltimore

Lots of potentially interesting games as the Steelers and Eagles need wins this week vs. two of 2011's "better than expected" teams (Titans and Bills). Bears suddenly a must-win vs. the apparently unbeatable Lions. Packers going to try to embarrass the Falcons in their own stadium again. Vikings try to prove they aren't the worst team in the league by attempting to ride Donny McNabb to a victory in the Metrodome. And best of all, a Jets/Patriots game that Rex will either squeak by or lose by 40 to remain at 1 win on the season that wasn't gifted by Tony Romo. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!?

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 October 2011 14:25 (thirteen years ago)

12-4 last week, 61-19 for the season

Lots of too-close-to-call games this week. I hope I make it out of Survival football alive, though pinning my hopes on the Chargers in the past has proven fatal. May switch to the Gints, but that's also risky. Anyway...

TITANS by a nose
GINTS because #lolseattle
BENGALS
SAINTZ
RAIDERS
BILLS
COLTS (!)
CARDS
49ERS
PATS
SUPERCHARGERS
PACK
L I O N S 4 E V A

Stupid fucking me.

the tax avocado (DJP), Tuesday, 4 October 2011 15:58 (thirteen years ago)

Can you make picks in Vegas on W/L rather than lines?

polyphonic, Tuesday, 4 October 2011 20:55 (thirteen years ago)

you can bet the moneylines but those are pretty brutal if you're just picking favorites

my team will not lose this week.

Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 5 October 2011 00:30 (thirteen years ago)

when the dolphins have a bye, it's really all of you -- the fans -- who lose.

Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 5 October 2011 00:31 (thirteen years ago)

you know what? i take it back. we can lose this week.

Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 5 October 2011 01:14 (thirteen years ago)

we want andrew luck.

Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 5 October 2011 01:39 (thirteen years ago)

apparently the dolphins worked out david garrard but are NOT going to sign him?

is he actively sabotaging his career? i really don't get it. is he like 15 pounds overweight? it's the only explanation

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 October 2011 16:30 (thirteen years ago)

how great would it be if McNabb got benched and was replaced by David Garrard

Did you see him in the preseason? He was atrocious.

polyphonic, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:35 (thirteen years ago)

the dolphins are about to start matt moore for the rest of the season

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:38 (thirteen years ago)

I also remember reading that Garrard wants a lot of money.

polyphonic, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:41 (thirteen years ago)

well apparently he turned down whatever the dolphins offered him (may not have been much tbf). i get the sense he might be done with football unless he gets something really attractive?

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:41 (thirteen years ago)

is he actively sabotaging his career? i really don't get it. is he like 15 pounds overweight? it's the only explanation

what are you even talking about? we have matt moore. everything's fine.

Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:59 (thirteen years ago)

honestly what is carson palmer doing with his days now? handball w/ jake plummer?

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 18:01 (thirteen years ago)

whackin' it

frogbs, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 18:05 (thirteen years ago)

w/ $80 mil in the bank i would hope he were at least knocking down tiger woods-level waitresses. meh i guess you can do that and also beat off

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 18:14 (thirteen years ago)

the better question is, what is his brother up to

frogbs, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 18:16 (thirteen years ago)

honestly what is carson palmer doing with his days now?

Being held captive by the Bengals.

polyphonic, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 18:54 (thirteen years ago)

you know, I can think of teams in Indiana and Florida that might like to have Carson Palmer right now

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 19:02 (thirteen years ago)

i understand why the bengals are being stubborn on this issue, and now that andy dalton looks at least passable palmer has no leverage to return, even if he wants to -- but there's also barely any trade market right now for him bcuz teams like the dolphins and the colts aren't going to give up a good pick + pay palmer's salary when they're already 0-4

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 October 2011 19:16 (thirteen years ago)

palmer has been truly dire for at least a couple seasons now.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 20:16 (thirteen years ago)

The situation doesn't look good now, but I'm sure there were plenty of teams willing to pay his salary at the beginning of the year. I really don't understand the Bengals on this one - it looks like they're paying him but not releasing him out of spite, which means they don't care about winning...?

frogbs, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 20:22 (thirteen years ago)

I guess we weren't ready for some football after all

the tax avocado (DJP), Thursday, 6 October 2011 15:58 (thirteen years ago)

the tax avocado (DJP), Thursday, 6 October 2011 21:54 (thirteen years ago)

always hated that hank williams song. i'm 38 -- 10 overall on the year, but 4 -- 0 predicting dolphins games, so i am 79% sure i am 100% right about this.

Daniel, Esq., Thursday, 6 October 2011 21:54 (thirteen years ago)

ke$ha has rowdy friends, at least thats what she wants you to believe

call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 October 2011 21:54 (thirteen years ago)
