a few really good teams would be fucked if their starting qb got hurt

kitna is probably the best? matt moore is def top-10
― johnny crunch, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:01 (thirteen years ago)
lol McNabb. Won't even get attention on this list.
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:05 (thirteen years ago)
also WTF Brunell is still playing?
lol brunell is retiring after this year and is going to take a job selling medical supplies or some shit cuz he's millions of dollars in debt
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:08 (thirteen years ago)
i can't even believe that the ravens back up to flacco is tyrod taylor
i forgot where i read this (i think simmons) but apparently michael lombardi said that if he had gotten the niners GM job that he would've traded for bryan hoyer -- i think he might be top 5 on this list, if not top 3
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:09 (thirteen years ago)
chris redman's a really good backup

― johnny crunch, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:15 (thirteen years ago)
possibly -- but maybe he's more cassell than he is whitehurst
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:16 (thirteen years ago)
who is tyrod taylor??
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:17 (thirteen years ago)
and who is chase daniel?
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:18 (thirteen years ago)
tyrod taylor is an undrafted rookie (or seventh round pick) from v tech
chase daniel was blaine gabbert's predecessor at mizzou, and in a dead heat w/ brad smith for best qb in school history -- he's been on the saints for like 3 or 4 years now
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:19 (thirteen years ago)
ok, cool.
billy volek is still around, huh? didn't he have the mantle of "best backup qb" for a minute?
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:21 (thirteen years ago)
lol apparently mark brunell was banking on developing condos in jacksonville--feel comfortable saying that was not wise.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:24 (thirteen years ago)
yeah he poured tens of millions of dollars in to property in florida and went totally bankrupt
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:29 (thirteen years ago)
is clausen the worst player on this list after brunell?
josh johnson is fucking awful, too
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:30 (thirteen years ago)
carr and boller both really suck.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:35 (thirteen years ago)
shaun hill might be best? aj feeley is decent.
― call all destroyer, Monday, November 14, 2011 8:35 PM (13 seconds ago) Bookmark
yeah def, altho i think carr might be decent in a matt moore way. he prob never should've been the number one overall pick, but i'm sure his development was permanently fucked by the whole experience w/ the texans. he probably has more "talent" than a lot of guys on this list.
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:37 (thirteen years ago)
I always believed that there just have to be more than ~32 total people who are capable of playing qb at an nfl level in america but then you look at a list like that...
― iatee, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:37 (thirteen years ago)
i think shaun hill might be the best guy on this list, yeah. played 11 games last year w/ an 81 qb rating, 61% completion and a 16/12 td ratio is v good for a back up
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:38 (thirteen years ago)
carr is not @ all bad for a backup imo
― johnny crunch, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 01:43 (thirteen years ago)
I think gradkowski is the best in terms of stepping in on short notice and winning games.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 02:56 (thirteen years ago)
I like Gradkowski. Don't know if he'll ever be any teams full-time starter (I thought Gruden pulled him far too soon in Tampa Bay), but he's crazy reliable for a couple or more games as a backup.
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 04:34 (thirteen years ago)
Volek is very solid.
Kitna for right now, maybe Locker long-term?!
― polyphonic, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 04:37 (thirteen years ago)
has locker played yet?
― Mr. Snrub, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 05:42 (thirteen years ago)
Nope.
