It's Packers or Saints, amirite. Just don't know which one of the two.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 2 January 2012 17:30 (thirteen years ago)

i'd give the giants a solid shot. fuck the saints, fuck the packers.

The sham nation of Israel should be destroyed. (Princess TamTam), Monday, 2 January 2012 17:33 (thirteen years ago)

im gonna say the 49ers and probably be wrong!

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:00 (thirteen years ago)

I still don't trust Alex Smith.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:14 (thirteen years ago)

voted packers cause why over think it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:16 (thirteen years ago)

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:17 (thirteen years ago)

Saints

Steamtable Willie (WmC), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:29 (thirteen years ago)

if the Saints were the #1 seed sure but they haven't played too well on the road. they're probably going to murder the Lions though

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:32 (thirteen years ago)

if you had to put money on it, packers, but this isn't the kinda thing you'd want to put money on, I think

iatee, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:37 (thirteen years ago)

Green Bay Packers -140
New Orleans Saints +300
San Francisco 49ers +700
New York Giants +1200
Atlanta Falcons +1800
Detroit Lions +3000

looks like Packs are huge favs atm

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 03:43 (thirteen years ago)

giants ride the "nobody believes in us!" factor all the way to the super bowl championship

Mr. Snrub, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 04:16 (thirteen years ago)

voting 49ers but the Packers will probably repeat

Bee OK, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 06:30 (thirteen years ago)

I'm kind of impressed by what the Saints defense has quietly done down the stretch. Add that with the supercharged offense, I think they to me have become the favorite.

That said, I think the NFC is way more tight, as I could believe the Falcons or 49ers getting it done for a week or two. Lions defense can't be as bad as last week? Giants could even be a pain to one of the good clubs if things go right.

Kind of the opposite of the AFC, where I have no faith that the lower seeds could give the big clubs a game.

file under fake but i wish it were real

call all destroyer, Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:58 (thirteen years ago)

god... i'm voting for the saints -- i'm pretty sure i'll regret that pick

i think any of the four b/w the packers, saints, giants and falcons could make it. don't think the lions are quite good enough right now. i'm concerned about the saints' ability to win on the road, and i think things aren't really breaking right for the packers right now.

it just may be the giants.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 5 January 2012 18:04 (thirteen years ago)

dont think the 49ers are for real?

frogbs, Thursday, 5 January 2012 19:17 (thirteen years ago)

nope

J0rdan S., Thursday, 5 January 2012 20:00 (thirteen years ago)

they're only allowing 14 points a game and have played well vs. playoff teams (Bungles, NYG, Detroit, Pittsburgh) - outside of the 10-point away loss to Baltimore they lost their other two by five points combined. they're not going to get blown out and can frustrate other teams into playing poorly and making mistakes (see the 49ers/Steelers game)

frogbs, Thursday, 5 January 2012 20:07 (thirteen years ago)

When Brett Swain is your #2 wide receiver it's kinda tough.

Losing Delanie Walker kills them, and Gore has looked tired lately.

fyi no way saints are getting to the superbowl this year

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 6 January 2012 00:19 (thirteen years ago)

why not!

call all destroyer, Friday, 6 January 2012 00:25 (thirteen years ago)

of the 3 big pass teams this year they have the least reliable defense and more importantly the least reliable offense. they will stall out, maybe against the 49ers, maybe even, as unlikely as it sounds, against the lions. and if they get past those games, do they win in lambeau at the end of Jan? no way. giants @ the mercedes benz superdome would be some game tho.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 6 January 2012 00:49 (thirteen years ago)

they have the least reliable defense - on a quick look at the reg season stats this is insanely indefensible. but i stand by the main thrust.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 6 January 2012 00:54 (thirteen years ago)

This Saints team way more closely resembles their 2009 team than it does their 2010 team. They've got a great shot.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 6 January 2012 02:52 (thirteen years ago)

late to the game, but voting saints.
giants strike me as too potentially fluky; you take bradshaw out of that lineup and they don't even make the playoffs in the first place. I'm not sure they can stay hot for another three games just right now.

Thug Luftwaffle (forksclovetofu), Friday, 6 January 2012 18:59 (thirteen years ago)
