Tom Brady can keep a secret. Wes Welker apparently cannot. When the CBS cameras captured the Patriots quarterback cursing on the sidelines in Buffalo on Sunday -- uttering the words “[expletive] you, [expletive]” with Wes Welker seated beside him -- speculation ran amok that the wrath of Brady’s saucy soundbite was probably select Bills defensive players, Buffalo fans, or even the newly-returning referees.Welker cleared all that up Tuesday when he revealed the true targets of Brady’s outburst.“I think it was kind of directed at, towards me and Deion [Branch] a little bit,” Welker said on WEEI’s Mut and Merloni show. “We were giving him a hard time that his knee was down and we didn’t know what he was doing on the bench over there. He better get his butt up and get back out on the field because his knee was down and so he’s like, ‘what are you talking about, I was in.’ So I think they caught him at a perfect moment where we were just kind of just jawing back and forth and things like that.”

Let's see. I really did go 4-12 last week. I did much better this week going 11-4 and I don't really feel too bad on my losers (Chiefs, Lions, Bucs & Giants). Minnesota is looking a bit better than expected and SD held serve on the road, which hasn't been something they have been very good at the past couple years. The other two came down to the wire, so they could have gone either way.
It seems weird there was only 2 teams off last week, usually it is 4 teams.
Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams - Let it be known, things are changing in St. Louis and their defense, while not all there is already showing some attitude. AZ seems ok and quite solid on D. I think this is a good game. AZ got by last week tight on the road, I think the Rams knock them off this week.
Cleveland Browns @ New York Giants - Well it's no solace for Cleveland fans, but the Browns are the best 0-4 team this side of New Orleans. They have been in every game with a rookie Qb too. Kinda looks like they might have been better served to get a vet (Weird Beard would have been perfect) and work in Weeden to be honest, as the Browns haven't had much luck letting the young guy get it done. I don't watch them much and I'm sure everyone in that part of Ohio might be saying the same thing. The Giants are pretty good as usual and should win.
Atlanta Falcons @ Washington Redskins - Falcons but I want to take Washington.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Pittsburgh Steelers - I don't think the Steelers are really that good, kind of moving on momentum and fumes at this point. Kind of like Dallas, Chicago - Pittsburgh's o-line is just not that good and the defense has a ton of miles on the odometer at this point. Philly is a schizophrenic 3-1 and I just don't trust them - I'll take Pittsburgh at home. Game will probably be sloppy mess echoing the drunken Eagles and Steelers fans berating each other the whole game.
Tennessee Titans @ Minnesota Vikings - I guess Vikings. I was kind of thinking the Titans might be ready to take a step up, but the defense hasn't been there.
Green Bay Packers @ Indianapolis Colts - Colts will probably be pumped, but they are way outgunned on the talent.
Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals pass offense has looked pretty impressive against really middling clubs. I think they should win but this could be a decent game as Miami has played people pretty tough.
Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs - Ravens D is definitely not what it used to be. I think they can shutup about Flacco being elite too. Ravens should win, but I'd definitely believe they could play sloppy and dumb enough to lose to KC in that loud stadium.
Seattle Seahawks @ Carolina Panthers - Panthers did a great job grabbing defeat out of the jaws of victory last week. I'm still taking them in probably a fugly game, as if Carolina gets up a couple scores, I just don't think Seattle has the firepower to come back.
Chicago Bears @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Bears. Bad day to be Blaine Gabbert and MJD couldn't run against the Bengals, I'm sure that front 7 for Chicago is a bit better. Teams are just going to box that club in and dare Gabbert to throw and to be honest, he really doesn't have that good a recievers to make that much of a threat. Jvilles defense is decent, so it might not be a blow out and could stick around close if Bears turnovers happen.
Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots - Pats although I think the clubs are pretty even.
Buffalo Bills @ San Francisco 49ers - 49ers look tough.
San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints - Saints gotta win sometime. I still don't trust SD for nothin'.
Houston Texans @ New York Jets - Texans should destroy them. I think the big thing they got to do is to keep from losing Schaub, Johnson and Foster. They seemed to make a big deal on the 100+ carries by Foster already and I got to agree, I think I'd save those bullets for when it counts. Going 10 or 12 and zero means nothing if you lose one of those key skills guys before the playoffs.

The Jets have only three healthy receivers on the roster after they released Patrick Turner on Tuesday. Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens are the starters, with Clyde Gates in reserve. Rookie Stephen Hill missed the last game with a pulled hamstring, as did tight end Dustin Keller.
When a guy named Chaz Schilens is a starter, you got a problem
― frogbs, Wednesday, 3 October 2012 04:18 (twelve years ago)
Maybe they can bring back Coles and Cotchery?
― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 3 October 2012 04:24 (twelve years ago)

― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 3 October 2012 04:36 (twelve years ago)
yeah and there's no reason to overload Foster either, because Tate is pretty awesome himself.

i don't think steelers + iggles fans hate each other! i actually have very warm feelings for the steelers bc i went to school in pittsburgh for a year, they're in PA, they're not in the NFC anyway, and i've rooted for them in superbowls before. i mean, of course i hate their rapist QB, but the team itself i find kinda charming - i like the old school working class trenches football style. i'll be rooting for iggles x1000 of course.
