Cheerleaders are very much part of the NFL game day experience. Originating from America, the sport of Cheerleading is very much a spectacle in itself and you have never seen a Cheerleading team until you have seen it done by American Girls!

Wow...12-1 last week and only my homerism for the Bengals keeping from a sweep. This gets me up to 61-43 for the year.

San Diego @ Cleveland - Got to go Chargers, although with Norv and his club, anything can happen.
Atlanta @ Philadelphia - I'm taking Philly coming off the bye. ATL is good but they have had some scrapes and the Eagles seem to play up to good teams.
Seattle @ Detroit - Seattle has the better record, but this is an east coast 1pm start. I think it's kind of a pickem game. I'm taking the Lions but I don't feel good on it.
Miami @ NY Jets- This is a hard one to pick too. Jets should have been the Pats last week. I'm going Dolphins, but going with a rookie QB on the road is never a good pick, so it could go either way.
Carolina @ Chicago- Give me the Bears but I could believe the Panthers getting fired back up and making it interesting.
Washington @ Pittsburgh- Still can't take RJIII on the road in Pittsburgh. Gimme the Steelers, but this should be a good game to watch.
Oakland @ Kansas City- Wow...I guess KC at home by a field goal. These games go either way even when the clubs don't suck.
NY Giants @ Dallas- I'm taking the Giants but I would believe a Cowboy win.
New Orleans @ Denver- I'm taking Denver and I hope they bury them.
San Francisco @ Arizona- I'm going Niners. SF plays kind of ugly but the Cardz offense is even uglier.

earlnash, Wednesday, 24 October 2012 22:30 (twelve years ago)

Tampa Bay @ Minnesota - I swear it seems like this game has already happened. I'm taking Tampa in an upset.
New England @ St. Louis - I'm going NE, but if they play like last week the Rams could knock them off.
Indianapolis @ Tennessee - Close game more than likely, but give me Tennessee at home.
Jacksonville @ Green Bay - Packers

You can't throw the ball 62 times in a game and not expect bad things to happen. Dallas is still coasting on the talent that Parcells brought in a few years ago (esp. Ware & Romo). The ultimate thing is they are never going to win until Jerry Jones sublimates his ego and hires a real general manager and let's football people run the team. I don't see that happening soon, so they will just continue to throw money around and be mediocre. That said, I guess the TV ratings for Cowboy's games are really down over all, so this weird mystique they seem to have is fading I guess. I can't see why there is that much of a mystique anyway considering they haven't won much since the early 90s.

earlnash, Monday, 29 October 2012 03:08 (twelve years ago)

kinda unfair to give Jerry no credit for Romo

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 29 October 2012 03:38 (twelve years ago)

Last week 10-4 (hits Detroit & Tampa – misses Titans, Philly, SD, KC) Not bad. 71-47 for the season.

Kansas City Chiefs @ San Diego Chargers - Don’t like either team at all and both pretty much suck. I guess SD at home.
Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers- Green Bay, Cinderella’s moved back home.
Detroit Lions @ Jacksonville Jaguars- I’ll go Lions, as this seems to be a game Detroit ‘should’ win, but this seems like one they could lay an egg on.
Chicago Bears @ Tennessee Titans- I’ll go Chicago, but I could see this one being closer than the record would indicate. Titans are kind of hard to figure.
Denver Broncos @ Cincinnati Bengals- Denver looked pretty good this week and I don’t think I considered how many changes they actually did on defense for how it wasn’t looking right early on this year (which was a strength last year). Cincy is just not clicking together.
Carolina Panthers @ Washington Redskins- This is probably a good matchup and game. Carolina is about as good a 1-6 team as you will ever see. I’ll take Washington, but I figure it is a pickem in the end.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns- I’m going Ravens but I hope the Browns beat ‘em.
Miami Dolphins @ Indianapolis Colts- This is kind of the flip game to the Carolina/Washington young QB matchup. I will take Miami as I think overall they are a bit better club, but I think this is a total pickem game. One of these clubs could end up hanging around the wild card at the end of the year, which is something neither would have been credited before the season starts.
Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans- Houston should win, but I am curious to see if Buffalo busts out and drops some points on them like they have other clubs.
Minnesota Vikings @ Seattle Seahawks – What have you done for me lately? I figure Seattle at home.
Tampa Bay Bucs @ Oakland Raiders- This could be a decent game to watch and possibly a nasty one too. I’m liking the Bucs as Freeman is playing pretty good the past few games.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants- I’m taking the Giants, but this seems like the type of game and situation that could be a loss.
Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons- I’ll take the Falcons but I will believe it if the Cowboys somehow win it in a fluky manner giving ESPN reason to talk about Dallas like they are a 3 time super bowl winner for another couple months.
Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints- I’m going Saints. I want to take Philly to win this one, as this is the type of game they have won over the past few years, but I think the magic may finally be gone.
