Tampa Bay at Atlanta - I'm taking Atlanta, because I don't know if they're sitting people out. If they do, Tampa could win.

NY Jets at Buffalo - Buffaloes.

Baltimore at Cincinnati - I think they're both already in the playoffs right? Ravens kinda sucking, though. Taking Bengals.

Chicago at Detroit - Bearses on the road. Free agents depart Detroit en masse this off-season.

Jacksonville at Tennessee - Yuck, how is this game legal? Tennessee I guess.

Houston at Indianapolish - Colts win it for Pagano.

Carolina at New Orleans - Panthers' late season power run continues. The Saints' lost season goes out with a whimper.

Philadephia at NY Giants - Have to take the Giants, but I don't want to watch this.

Cleveland at Pittsburgh - Taking Pitt, but could just as easily be Clevo. Who cares.

Oakland at San Diego - Norv's reign of terror ends with a meaningless win. Apt.

Arizona at San Francisco - Niners already in the playoffs. No reason to play the real talent past the first quarter (if at all). They still win.

St. Louis at Seattle - Seattle is a juggernaut right now. I pity St. Louis.

Green Bay at Minnesota - Taking Minnesota at home over a Packers team with nothing to play for.

Miami at New England - New England sleepwalks through this game and still wins.

Kansas City at Denver - Chiefs about to be on the clock. Why ruin it with a win?

Dallas at Washington - Skins win why because lol Cowboys.

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 30 December 2012 18:45 (twelve years ago)

I just figured out that Jacksonville is so inept this season that, even if they lose today (which they will), the best they can even do in the draft is received the #2 pick. Kansas City apparently had an even weaker schedule.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 30 December 2012 20:49 (twelve years ago)

texans gonna prob be in exactly the position they were last yr, hosting cincy wc wkend, but at least its not w/ tj yates

johnny crunch, Sunday, 30 December 2012 21:00 (twelve years ago)

texans/colts: every week there should be a game with the monkeys riding dogs herding sheep halftime show, if you search twitteronia apparently no one could hate it. take this show to the playoffs!

schaub didn't look good today. pats can get that bye week now! also I am kind of relieved about giants not making the playoffs

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 30 December 2012 21:05 (twelve years ago)

Bears game was so touch and go all day. That Bear o-line is just not very good.

Texans would be suspect, just for the fact they haven't really won bupkus but I think those two losses to Green Bay and NE where they just got plowed pretty much seals it for me they are not ready to make a real run. Weird club, it like took them 5 years to finally get into the playoffs when they always seemed on the cusp now 2 years into the playoffs you still can't buy into them as a contender.

earlnash, Sunday, 30 December 2012 21:23 (twelve years ago)

Oh yeah, I also have to wonder about Tice as Bear OC too. You know who I think would be the perfect OC for the Bears, wait for it...Norv Turner. I know Norv is kind of laugher, but with the personnel the Bears have, they are really built to run that kind of offense Turner ran in Dallas and elsewhere.

I like Lovie Smith a heck of alot more than a lot of Bear's fans. I think those low key guys that are good you got to keep them around. His defense has been killer the whole time he has been in Chicago. I tell you the Bears fire him and he goes to the right club, it will be just like with Dungy when Tampa kicked him out.

earlnash, Sunday, 30 December 2012 21:28 (twelve years ago)

Norv will be the most in-demand offensive coordinator to hit the market in a long time

Kind of hard to believe London Fletcher has only made 2 probowls. Dude is only 5-10...talk about a guy totally maximizing your physical skills, he's a prime example.

Kind of hard to give the Shanahan's a bunch of credit, as they have run some pretty sucky offenses the past few years going back to Denver, but this run game Washington has got going now is pretty wicked. I think they are definitely one team that some clubs are hoping to not have to study to play, as it is way different than what other clubs are doing. That said, you will see a half dozen or more clubs trying to emulate it next year, thing is they are not going to have those freaky good athletes like RGIII and that back Smith. (And to be honest, Shanahan had a whole lot of success with his o-line in Denver, as it seemed like for a few years it didn't matter which dude was the back, they got a ton of yards.)

earlnash, Monday, 31 December 2012 06:03 (twelve years ago)

LIKE If you are against racism (omar little), Monday, 31 December 2012 06:53 (twelve years ago)

yeah hard to say exactly what happened towards the end in denver but shanahan's mark is all over this team--they're super disciplined and evidently well-coached.

bears definitely disappointing. however lovie was the best coach they'd had since ditka and maybe even better than ditka, since i think the latter had so many great teams that disappointed whereas lovie had some middling teams that did pretty good considering everything. 81-63 w/mediocre qb play and no great receivers til brandon marshall, one great RB in forte, and a defense that was often less than its rep. oh well, i liked him. he'll find a gig soon enough. interested in seeing who they bring on next. ffs they better take their time. hoping for cowher or gruden.

LIKE If you are against racism (omar little), Monday, 31 December 2012 20:47 (twelve years ago)

turds (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:17 (twelve years ago)

rip lovie. i dont know how much he is to blame for the horrific bears o-line and dearth of good non-marshall receivers, but i think he'll land on his feet. you could argue that the bears window is closing anyway, considering how many of their guys on D could be on the cusp of decline - maybe he got out when the getting was good

turds (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:23 (twelve years ago)

Agreed

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:29 (twelve years ago)

i could see why the bears let him go but they better hit on the replacement cuz dude can coach. the hiring of tice was suspect but lovie was fucked by injuries in the last two years more than most teams. they were a playoff lock last year before both cutler & forte got hurt and even this year they missed the playoffs by a game w/ cutler missing a decent chunk of time.
