strahan's always been a pretty vocal gay rights advocate, fwiw. actually him and tagliabue are the only ones in the league that i can think of who are.

also, this would've been so much more hilarious if strahan was a tight end

I'm impressed, but then I usually am with Strahan.
The real question is: what does he look like while applauding?

Like a MAN, dammit.

God bless him, BTW.

Warren Sapp hangs out in the Castro on a regular basis. He says "I go where the restaurants are," but on the radio he's seemed to be a pretty open minded guy for the most part.

What's this about Tags?

tagliabizzle has a gay son and he and his wife won a PFLAG award last year. and according to wikipedia, he has "actively made the league market toward homosexuals", but i can't find anything to substantiate that. anyone remember when the american Queer As Folk premiered and they were refused permission to make reference to the stillerz? i don't remember if that was the organization or the NFL's decision.

INSANE CLOWN FOSSE (Adrian Langston), Tuesday, 4 July 2006 04:24 (eighteen years ago) link

nfl's crazy weird about letting any tv show or movie reference their teams though (this is why football movies always have the 'miami sharks' or some nonsense which always ruins any chance of suspension of disbelief for me), and not just for yr 'playmakers' or things that might be remotely controversial, i seem to recall that cameron crowe had to clear crazy hurdles to get permissions and even then it was just the arizona cardinals (the crazy 'well this clearly isn't reality' thing there was believing the cardinals could be playing on monday night football).

Clearly the NFL knows what it's doing.

Yeah, if I had to choose between being affiliated with a film where Cameron Diaz is some kind of sports owner versus a film where a disgruntled kicker becomes a fake woman and then kidnaps dolphins (like, real ones and player ones), I know which side I'd be choosing.

I was at the game where Favre took the dive for Strahan. So blatantly obvious. Let's just say "Something about Mary" was not his worst acting performance.

anything in which brett favre is thrown to the ground is not, by definition, gay as hell. including buttsex!

So should we discuss BROTHERS, Strahan's new sitcom WITH CCH POUNDER AND CARL WEATHERS AS HIS PARENTS?

Any vehicle that provides Strahan more tv time is alright by me.

But what's wrong with Carl Weathers' face?

BROTHERS — THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (2009) Mike Trainor (Michael Strahan) seemingly has it all — he’s a good-looking, wealthy, NFL player living the high life in New York City — but the more his life has changed, the more his family has stayed the same. Mike’s new life gets sidelined when his mom (CCH Pounder) summons him home to Houston. His brother, Chill (Daryl Mitchell), gravely injured in a car accident, needs Mike’s help to run his restaurant but the last thing this sibling wants is help from his more successful brother. Caught in the middle are Mike’s mom and his dad, Coach (Carl Weathers). 2-Disc, 12-Episode Collection. 16x9 Widescreen
