philly/arizona game is going to be huge

I picked Arians' Cardinals to do the best this season in that poll we held a few months ago about first year head coaches and their new teams. Andy Reid has the leg up so far in Kansas City, but they could easily finish the season with the same record.

Green Bay at Detroit - Detroit should win, but that really doesn't mean much with this club.
Oakland at Dallas - Dallas should win, but it's the Cowboys.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore - Just another B-more/Pittsburgh testosterone bowl. I'm going to take Pittsburgh as their offense seems to be figuring it out these days.
Tennessee at Indianapolis- Indy is just a mess. Titans are not that great. I got to think the Colts will right the ship this week.
Jacksonville at Cleveland- Browns are about down to running a single wing with their QB situation. I'll take the Browns but I dont' feel good about it, as Jville has played competitive enough to win 2 of last 3.
Tampa Bay at Carolina- Carolina needs the win, but the Bucs are playing improved. QB Glennon has been pretty effective for Tampa over last month.
Chicago at Minnesota- Bears should win but that don't mean much in a rivalry game.
New England at Houston- NE in a walk.
Arizona at Philadelphia- Definitely an unexpected good match up. I think AZ might be the better club but going east seems to be a thing for those west coast clubs, so I will take Philly.
Miami at N.Y. Jets- WHo knows about these two clubs, I guess Miami.
Atlanta at Buffalo- Bills are a bit better at this point.
St. Louis at San Francisco - This will be a tough game, both clubs defense is pretty punishing. I'll take Niners.
Cincinnati at San Diego- I'm taking the Bengals, but more as I want them to win. Cincy is a bit off right now.
Denver at Kansas City- Denver
N.Y. Giants at Washington- Giants
New Orleans at Seattle- Seattle

the jets are going to beat up on miami and then we'll be subjected to another week of burbling media idiots talking about them like it won't be a disgrace if they are the 6th seed. miami's o line will be dominated so hard that they are somehow going to finish this game with a mathematically impossible one point, which is even worse than a shutout.

definitely very interested to see what arizona does and to see how much cincy has left. bmore/pittsburgh is kind of a playoff playoff altho ppl are underestimating how grim the rest of the season might be for the bengals, it is not out of the question that the winner of this wins the division. i can see indy papering over the cracks with a beatdown on tenn, who appear to be variable but trending downwards. NE will find a way to make that houston game close. STL vs san francisco is just going to be constant 3 and outs. if either offense is going to surprise it'll probably be the rams, which is weird.

SF gets Crabtree back this week in all likelihood. I dunno how he's been doing at practice, but he's got to be a bump of quality for the current receiving corps.

They may want extra doctors on hand at the STL-SF game. those are two physical teams

I cant wait to see what the Jets d-line does to the miami 0-line.

Not to get all Bill Simmonsy here but Jets/Dolphins feels like the most unpredictable game of the year thus far, could be 45-3 or 10-7 or anything in between

Raiders gave them a good game. Dallas offense is definitely one of the best this year in the NFL. Oakland had no answer for Jason Witten and Dez Bryant is like Robotron in that he is just too big for these guys to cover. The guy is built like a power forward and is playing WR.

Player was down near first down marker, sideline referee said first down, they moved the chains, the head referee overruled and said no it was actually fourth down, THEY DON'T EVEN FUCKING BOTHER MEASURING for some reason, and Shanahan, thinking it was first down, called for an out route, which was caught and then fumbled away.

Ref screwup or no, if Pierre Garcon doesn't let the Giants defender strip the ball away from him it would've been a legitimate first down, and the hatcats woulda kept the drive going.

Packer fans seem to be up in arms about this but it seems like a good idea to me!

yea i cant imagine you want him taking some of the hits that flynn took vs detroit, for example

no kidding. if that game demonstrated anything it's that GB has a lot of issues beyond Rodgers being hurt, they can't block worth a damn (Flynn played about as well as could be expected from a dude getting knocked on his ass after 1.5 seconds), and the defense can't stop the pass OR the run. this is like the 3rd year straight where apparently nobody on the team can make a tackle, all they can do is slow the runner down enough to get into a dogpile. frustrating thing is that they seem to randomly look awesome on certain weeks.

They don't have depth and their defensive line can get pushed around. You can have great linebackers, but if the line can't slow them down, the tackle is being made 5 yards past the line. B.J. Raji got wore down and that line's not been the same for a couple of years.

Same thing is happening to the Bengals a bit now that Geno Atkins is out. They are starting to adjust, but when he was there, that's a totally different defense.

Compare that to the Cleveland Browns where they give you a trash bag to take home your uniform to wash it for next week. The team provides the foot sprays though, can't say enough about the foot sprays.
