SUN, DEC 22
Miami at Buffalo - Miami needs the win.
Minnesota at Cincinnati - Cincy needs the win, but I still find it hard to believe the Vikings throttled Philly that bad last week.
Indianapolis at Kansas City - good matchup, I'd say KC at home, but hope Indy beats them.
Tampa Bay at St. Louis - Rams
Cleveland at NY Jets - even matchup, eh...I guess Browns?
Dallas at Washington - Dallas 'should' win
New Orleans at Carolina - Saints laid an egg last week, this is pretty much a playoff game and the biggest Panther game in a long time. I think Carolina.
Tennessee at Jacksonville- Tennessee is playing people tough even though they are not that good, gimme the Titans.
Denver at Houston - Denver should walk.
NY Giants at Detroit - Detroit.
Arizona at Seattle - wow tough game for AZ. I got to go Seattle, but really kind of hope AZ wins.
Pittsburgh at Green Bay - I'm taking GB, but I think it is more even game than someone might have figured early this season.
Oakland at San Diego - Chargers should win, but these are the type of games they usually screw up.
New England at Baltimore - Pats, but I would be happy if Bmore knocked them off. Pretty much playoff game for B-more.
Chicago at Philadelphia - This is pretty much a playoff game. I'm picking Bears because I'm a homer. PHilly, wTF last week?
MON, DEC 23
Atlanta at San Francisco- Niners mercy killing.

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 23 December 2013 00:54 (eleven years ago)

i feel like the football gods are going to strike them with a bolt of lightning for blount mocking ray lewis

like belichick will bench blount for the first series of a playoff game because of it
and so then they'll go with ridley and ridley will fumble and the other team will run it back for a TD and that'll turn out to be the difference in the game

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 23 December 2013 00:55 (eleven years ago)

WORST BEAR DEFENSE EVER!

earlnash, Monday, 23 December 2013 04:53 (eleven years ago)

Bears don't really deserve to make playoffs, but beating Packers only thing that matters. I got a feeling Eddie Lacy is going to run for a crap ton of yards next week and win the Rookie of the Year award. I got to figure you might see Aaron Rodgers too.

earlnash, Monday, 23 December 2013 04:55 (eleven years ago)

the Lions have got to be the big loser in all this, right? after blowing a totally winnable game at home and having to hear about it the whole week their dream scenario plays out and...they lose another totally winnable game at home. kinda feeling like Schwartz may not be around much longer.

frogbs, Monday, 23 December 2013 15:34 (eleven years ago)

Oh yeah, the Detroit has rose up from the depths of despair of the NFL basement to complete and total under-performing disappointment.

I've got to wonder if Chicago contemplates dealing Jay Cutler for picks and try to roll next year with McCown, perhaps either trading or drafting a potential replacement at QB. Bears need an influx of multiple player talent into the defense, it's change of generation player wise. That core that had played together for quite a few years is at the end of the cycle, need talent at all phases.

earlnash, Monday, 23 December 2013 15:43 (eleven years ago)

I'd say the ideal coach to take over the Lions would be Tony Dungy, but he's not doing that job anymore. I think henceforth the best second choice will end up being Lovie Smith. He would get that defense playing smart. They need to reign in that passing attack and learn how to work the clock. That is where you improve the strength of the club, as being able to control the clock ultimately keeps a defensive line fresh. If they want to go ultimate retread, I got to think Brian Billick would be interesting, although I think he likes being an announcer. Billick won a lot of games in Baltimore and really was an offensive guru before being a head coach. He's coached a defense with alot of attitude too.

earlnash, Monday, 23 December 2013 15:47 (eleven years ago)

cutler's contract is up after this season, right? they couldn't trade him.

call all destroyer, Monday, 23 December 2013 16:13 (eleven years ago)

The bears got the rights and the franchise tag though...it would be a sign and trade to the other club.

call all destroyer, Monday, 23 December 2013 21:40 (eleven years ago)

well that takes a lot of air out of that matchup

frogbs, Monday, 23 December 2013 21:45 (eleven years ago)

Rest easy Tony, we will be back for your soap opera with the Cowboys next year. It's all on the WEIRDBEARD next week!

Philly's got that offense cooking though, so even with Romo, I think it's still the Eagles game. I still can't figure what happened to Philly up in Minnesota though.

earlnash, Monday, 23 December 2013 22:05 (eleven years ago)

trap game?

totes

mookieproof, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 00:07 (eleven years ago)

i don't think a 1-game win and you're in quasi-playoff can be a trap game

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 01:14 (eleven years ago)

I think he meant that Eagle loss to Vikings was a trap game loss. Petersen didn't even play, which is the thing that blows my mind and the game wasn't even close. I guess that is the thing with the supercharger offense, when it goes wrong your defense can get blown up or worn out.

earlnash, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 01:30 (eleven years ago)

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 24 December 2013 04:37 (eleven years ago)

Got to figure Mike Smith gets another season, but I think that club is heading into a rebuild mode. That's kind of a tough sled for a coach six seasons into a stay. Starting over can take a couple seasons and most fan bases are not willing to go with a coach that gets 3 losing seasons in a row.

earlnash, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 04:45 (eleven years ago)

I got to say though, I was pretty impressed by the makeover the Ravens did to their roster. I think they have done better than expected defensively, they still need a few players on the o-line.
