Request: Please stop using imgur

Kept meaning to post about this, not everyone knows but if you live in the UK, a profoundly backward law has prompted imgur to block all access here. We can’t see your posts. Pls & ty!

Not that I post images very often, but is there an alternative that y'all can access?

Adding my voice to the 'please use something else' chorus! Unfortunately with the general enshittification of the internet, I don't know what the 'something else' should be - up until the block I used imgur myself. Obviously it's doing us UK-bound people a favour and might not be convenient to find an alternative, but pleeeeeease at least consider it.

I use https://postimages.org/, (apparently recently renamed from postimg.cc), and it seems to work fine?

I use imgbb.com - viable alternative if it's working there

If I’m really curious I just use a vpn to see it but 1) it’s usually not worth it 2) they want to ban those too

when the plane flies into the side of the mountain they want to be sure we're all seatbelted good and tight

Yeah I’m not using a vpn to use ilx especially since my existing one expired and I haven’t bothered to renew it yet

Everyone now wants their Internet to be a walled garden to “protect the children” (from non-government-approved knowledge).

with IMGBB, just make sure to take a close look at the link it gives you after you paste it but before you hit Submit. every like 4 or 5 pics you upload, they add an extra advertisement link to the bottom that posts below your pic

I’ve posted hundreds of images on imgbb for poll threads and never experienced this

but yes pls can eurovision countries confirm that it works as a host
