I don't know how hard it would be for keith to make IRE/ITR have different or nonexistent limits on things like that tbh. I haven't seen the latest builds of what they're doing really. I assume if he can give you guys unregistered posting on those particular parts of the board then relinquishing the img limit could be done as well.

the thing is it would have to be for certain boards. there's no way removing the img limit would really improve ILE/ILM/NB besides allowing JW to do what he does best.
