Can we have an "I Love Sex" board?

The idea was presented in this thread, and I think it's a good one. That way could have a place to start all those "TMI" sex-related threads that some people find a bit icky, so people on the main board wouldn't have to complain about them. Also it might provide a kinda more intimate space for those folks who want to discuss these TMI things.

If it happens, I'd certainly volunteer to mod the board.

Yeah, I think the able to post anonymously would be a nice thing for sucha a board, but I'm not sure how easy that would be to do technically.

Thanks for the offer, Kate. I guess changing IDME to ILS would make more sense than creating a new board, since there are so many unused boards already.

Would suggest using the thing on the preferences page that hides boards one doesn't want to look at as a getaround for this.

I, for one, would be really interested to see what moderation would be like on a board run by Roxy and Tuomas.

Considering what monkeys can get mod rights around here, (and I include myself in that statement) I think they're not worse, and certainly might be better than many other sub-boards.

I really miss those bonkers anonymous "I am having this weird sex/relationship/dating problem" logged out anonymous threads. I think it would be great if we could create an environment where people can discuss these things, without fear of instant Lazy Bad Zings, though keeping it lighthearted.

Though I understand why it would be a bad idea to have the board unreg from a spammers PoV.

It could be like some mad talk show - I get to be old skool humourless feminazi Oprah, Roxy gets to be young, hip Rikki Lake and Tuomas can be like... I don't know - the Finnish Jerry Springer?

It's fine with me, and fine with Kate and Roxy being other mods, though I don't think Roxy has actually said anything about being a mod, she just supported the idea of having this board. Maybe someone could ask her about it? I think we could at first try to see what happens if we allow unregistered posts, but if this leads to too much spam/nastiness, then make it registered only.

realistically, if you want unreg, you're going to have to accept a lot of spam clean up, particularly give the subject matter.
