When I'm at the university I use a lot of different computers, and it seems kinda bothersome that I have to change ILX style to my preference at every computer. Why isn't style automatically linked to your account, no matter what computer you use to log in, like it used to be?

style info is carried on a cookie, which is machine specific.

Man, if only real life were like computers, everyone could keep their style preferences in some Pecan Sandies.

also, given the number of people occasionally using mobile devices to access ILX, having it be account specific would be a problem.
dan, we should start an acappella group called the Pecan Sandies

Yeah, but this wasn't the case with the previous code, so why was it changed?
Sorry if I'm stupid, but I don't understand this? Didn't people use ILX with cell phones already before the new code?

i prefer it this way, tuomas, cuz when i use my iphone it automatically uses the iphone stylee, which is way easier to read, and when i use my regular computer it uses old.css.

It wasn't changed, tuomas. Styles have always been stored in cookies.

Would it be possible to have images on/off stored as a cookie rather than the account?

can't be arsed starting a new thread for this ... see iPhone.css? the line-height on the bookmarks still seems to be fucked, despite the fact i have a vague memory of stet telling me it was fixed. any chance this can be tweaked?
