Can't start a new thread in 77

i tried and got this vague mesage:

An error has occurred; please try again shortly.

Return to Front Page.

i took asterisks out of the thread title and now it works.

i got that error every time i tried to do a poll of all the paperbacks in my hotel

(on 77, this was)
