Joking or not, one thing the mods do not want to have to deal with is a whole bunch of people thinking it's funny to run around acting super-annoying in an attempt to get a certain number of people to suggest ban you. Also, there is the point that it isn't actually a good thing that you are halfway to getting banned from the board.

i guess i just dont really see whats 'disruptive' about it; youd have to have a pretty low opinion of ilxors if you think that theyre all going to go try and get 25 suggest bans because i started a joke thread on a sub-board

I really think it's a possibility, not a certainty, which is why you got an annoying warning as opposed to a temp ban.

And yes, there are ILXors I have a low opinion of when it comes to recognizing that things they find funny can be incredibly annoying to other posters and/or the moderators.
