Because SBs don't automatically kick in any more, he'd actually racked up 55 SBs in a four-month period, which is quite an achievement. For some time now he's been the only poster within 20 votes of being SBed so he's obviously been doing something that really fucked people off.

The votes, fwiw, come from a pretty broad range of posters and not by any means the most thin-skinned of them. Given he'd been warned repeatedly, I can say he either just didn't give a shit about whether he was banned or not, or that he was just an idiot. Leaning towards the former.
