I'm normally a lurker here, but thought I should use my break out post to tell you all (at least those who care) that Ms. Luna is in the hospital back home. She's okay, just has been burning the candle at both ends, as she is wont to do, and the poor little thing dropped like a stone yesterday afternoon from exhaustion. She will kick my ass for posting this later, but I just wanted to let you know, and ask that you send her good thoughts.

I spoke to her about an hour and a half ago: she thinks they'll let her out in a day or so. She was dehydrated and just plain worn out from over-extending herself, and has been sleeping and not doing much else.

tombot is otm re all internet message boards but it's especially true of ilx. here i've copped excessive shit for all sorts of reasons, from using a word i didn't know was racist in america (i do now), to my two-decade-long nickname for my wife being called "the worst joke on ilx", to being trolled well out of proportion for ~2 years because i used a software feature. options were to walk away or htfu. seems i've settled on a position bang in the middle, contributing to a small number of threads and accepting that the occasional irredeemable fuckwit can be found everywhere. posting this as an xxxxxxxxxxxxpost because it was on topic 39 minutes ago.
