The containment device for the cargo area (shown in the allroad pix gallery) that stops small items from sliding around is a great idea. I prefer the retrained appearance of the standard A4 Avant, especially with the interior with the brown seats and burled-walnut trim, but I know the chances of US buyers being offered wagons/estates with a decent choice of drivetrains, equipment, and trim are nil. I'd like a standard A4 5-door with a manual trans, 2.0T, and all the trimmings, but expect only the quattro (unnecessary IMO) with some sort of automatic to cross the Atlantic, probably with the usual scant optional-equipment menu.
In the meantime my VW Golf packs most Audi goodness into a car 2/3 the price.
