he made the link (on ILX!) with a "name" argument that ILX passes (because ILX is too nice) but google won't return any results for (google is not)
later the page with the link on it is cached by the google spider just like everything else, so google now has both the link with the fake argument stored, as well as a cache of the page that link leads to.
then he puts up the cache link.

I haven't done any SEO jobs yet, the only internet money i've made is through writing crappy content for spammy websites like vuju.com ($40 in three months)
