what is web bloat?

there's a hidden kind of web bloat where a site will load tons of frameworks and libraries to show simple things.
here's a popular article that explains it (ironically the live version is so lean, it won't bother to load working images)

funny enough, this monstrosity is probably less bloated underneath than most "minimalist" e-commerce sites, though they spent a few bytes for a joke you can only see if you view source.

basically ilxor.com is the opposite of web-bloat.

the ultimate bloat is advertising, some news page thats got javascript coming in from ten different places none of which care about size number of requests etc
