Post Here When You Accidentally Cause Microsoft Edge to Open

I hope I am not the only ILXor who accidentally clicks on things that open Microsoft Edge ... and also yell at myself for having done so

Been #Edging for almost a year. I am indifferent. Google asks me to download chrome anytime I use gmail, maps, etc. now.

The time card reporting system for my job only runs on Edge. It’s okay.

hilarious! what is this, the 90s? is it a commercial or internal thing? what happens if you open it in a different browser?

i use Edge at work, it's ok for work

it's very rare that i accidentally trigger it at home but i do swear a lot when it happens

edge is a fine browser, i just use it now

My time card thing doesn't work on Chrome (my preferred browser), and Edge is preloaded on my work computer, so I kind of exaggerated since it may work on other browsers that I havenlt tried. It used to be Oracle based (still may be?) and used to work with Chrome.

IE was famously terrible at conforming to web standards. I assume Edge, now an underdog, is reasonably well behaved for survival?

it's based on Chrome so... better than the IE situation at least

yeah in terms of their ability to display websites there's virtually no difference between the major browsers and no reason any site shouldn't work on any of them.
