Wiggo is the most offensively rockist tool I've ever come across when it comes to music. Makes Geir seem charming and enlightened.

his description of barcelona was so excellent. even if youre a scrub, being off the front alone coming into a finish is magic. i cant imagine how that was for him. sometimes i just assume pros are past that.

should i lol or ;_; (Hunt3r), Monday, 14 December 2009 21:47 (fourteen years ago) link

The Ben Swift situation seems pretty dodgy.

sky have rather amusingly submitted him as one of their riders for the tour down under, despite not having done the deal yet! lol.

Is this a bad enough infraction to result in a Schleck Wiggins Schleck podium?

(I think not, but still)

three weeks pass...

http://velonews.competitor.com/2010/01/news/louisville-awarded-2013-%E2%80%99cross-worlds_103288

damn, i was stoked when i saw this because i thought it was louisville colorado.

i was never mocked as hard or with such hostility for lycra as i was the week i spent training in louisville, ky, circa 1993. also, aggressive driving.

still, great to have worlds in usa

one month passes...

Day one in the Criterium International sets up a nice showdown between Cadel Evans and David Millar in the time Trial with Contador having to make up a minute.

E3 Prijs - Fabian Cancellara again shows what a remarkable rider he is, dropping Boonan and Flecha in the last 2 km.

dont see how they could have stiffed any of those wildcards except katusha.

Ronde Van Vlaanderen today, I fancy Fabian Cancellara for this. (Saxo bank running the peleton right now as well)

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 4 April 2010 11:18 (fourteen years ago) link

Cancellara is just looking so good, leading Boonen out and looking so calm on the climb. David Millar trying to bridge as well.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 4 April 2010 13:48 (fourteen years ago) link

Enough time to show the cameraman his penis angel, pick up a swiss flag and pedal slowly over the line.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 4 April 2010 14:34 (fourteen years ago) link

That was incredible. When Cancellara made his move on the Muur the camera shot was from the front so you couldn't tell who was leading (they were side by side) and it actually looked like Boonen was launching an attack as he was out of the saddle and giving it everything. Then we saw the side-on view and Cancellara was just smoothly riding away from him, still in the saddle, not even looking like he was making any effort. He had a gap of about 200m in no time at all.

i was riding with a small group yesterday in boulder when taylor p's dad rode up to my buddy/ride host and announced "taylor ha vinto." then his mom told us that he had crashed out of the tt while way up, so getting the road stage was a little revenge. the crash itself at the very end is pretty cool, check out his passage under the barrier--

“To attack on the Muur and leave Boonen behind is amazing. When I get old, to be able to say to young riders, ‘At the Ronde I attacked on the Muur, left Boonen behind and won alone,’ not in a sprint, or dropped and came back, but alone … it was the perfect scenario. The gladiator won the battle.”
