I'll say it's a pretty good freebie! My brother had it in storage because it's not even one of his top 3 most-ridden bikes since he built up a Crosscheck for everyday and some kind of mtn bike and something else, I forget. I feel just giddy to have it. Doesn't fit me yet but i'll tweak.

My bike is coming today, it is it is!! I used shipbikes.com and got a bike box from the local store who were happy to throw me one from their store-room--the price was TOTALLY cheap for 3-day FedEx ground shipping to NY!
I brought wrenches to work and plan is to assemble it here and ride it home.
YAY YAY YAY YAY

hmmm. i am actually in the market for a vicar bike for munchen pootlen.
this seems like a pretty good deal, but any other brands at around this price i should be looking at?

though, you might be able to find an old pootler used somewhere? i've got a phillips with an SA 3spd hub that's probably fifty years old and as many pounds, and it's just fine for short jaunts around the hood.

the second hand market for, well, anything is crazy in munich. e.g. this bike will sell at that price: http://munich.de.craigslist.de/bik/2525661302.html and people do things like say "i bought this fridge for €700, the extended warranty was €100, and i've had it for a year, so i'm willing to sell it for €650." it is nuts.

$120 would be a bit steep, yeah. so even operating under the assumption that $=€ , that's kinda nuts

lol i just offered him €20.

Taken by a friend who's a professional photographer - he's got a contract for a cycling website to promote cycling in Devon and Brittany, and I'm his model. This is last Wednesday, at dusk, along the Exe estuary, after 20 miles.

And again, with the html converted.
After 21 years of not having a bike (got stolen the first week when I moved to a university town and never bothered again after that) I just ordered a new http://www.achielle.be/EN/craighton.php Achielle Craighton Pure Opa because I liked how one of them looked in the shop I went to on a whim (I should have a bike, it's stupid not to have one now I live only 2 km from the city center here). It will be assembled now and I'll have it in about one to two months.
However, now I get home I find out this Achielle brand apparently is like mega hot and hipster cool at the moment! Paris Hilton and stuff :-(
Anyway, this is WMfutureBwillLL:
