What are some good cycling shorts that I won't feel like changing out of when I get there. My Enduras are great but a little fussy and I feel like a tit wearing them not on the bike.
Let's just talk about clothing anyway.

Guys, I want to buy cheap bike shoes which are light enough and road-y but still have a sole that means you can actually walk in them (i.e. the cleat is recessed). Any ideas?

"road-y" vs. "have a sole that means you can actually walk in them" FITE!
yr pedal system is the key here- the dominant road systems are not really "recessible." im talking speedplay, time road pedals and look style systems. but most mtn bike shoes are walkable. if you want light and stiff, get a higher end racing shoe. obv youd need spd style cleat system.
for touring/commuting, i will recommend adidas minretts, tho i think you want something else here. the minretts are quite "normal sneaker" looking (no velcro), have a surprisingly stiff sole, but feature a tread pattern that completely eliminates cleat scrape on normal floors.

Thanks Hunter. I was looking at Adidas Razors as potentially having all the necessary qualities. I am likely to go for the Crank Bros eggbeaters, which seem to have cleats of a similar size to my current spds (which I use with my current soft and flexy - and broken - MTB shoes).
I'm much more concerned with comfort and walkability than lightness, so I guess the sleeker MTB shoes may be the best bet.

I have Adidas but not a clue which model they are OK, good riding but cut in at the heel if I walk in them too much, I had a great pair of lace up specialized tour shoes which were way better for walkability but not nearly quite as stiff before.
