awesome rims for touring - suggestions requested

I have a customer, a really nice dude who is a hardcore expedition tourist. He is a "heavy user" and tends to wear stuff out a lot. He gets through a pair of rims in less than 1 yr typically. Generally speaking, I replace his rims with whatever Mavic are calling their best rim-brake box-section touring/road rim with double-eyelet spoke holes at that time - open pro I think it is at the moment. For most people, these are a great rim which will last for years, but this guy isn't "most people" - this year so far he's done big tours in China and Viet Nam for example.

I'm looking for a mighty pair of rims for this guy - 26", not too wide - typically he uses 26 x 1.5 or 1.75 marathon pluses, any suggestions?

I HAVE OPEN PROS...NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, THEY STAY TRUE...EVEN IN THE CRATER-Y STREETS OF NYC.
