Yes, but it's still a GREAT option.

OH MY GOD my friend Erin lives within walking distance (on the other side of the station, through). It's probably different from what how you might remember it, through, as it looks like one of those places done up shiny sometime in the past decade through pokie money. (You could argue that's almost EVERY FUCKING PUB IN SYDNEY NOT POPULATED BY DOUCHEBAG HIPSTERS but that's another story.)

oh and i will always choose the steak sandwich.

It is DEFAULT SETTING if there isn't anything great that grabs my attention.

chips + fucking aioli

wilter, Monday, 20 July 2009 09:36 (fifteen years ago)

He said pub, not wanky cafe. It's chips with tomato sauce and/or vinegar.

ambience chaser (S-), Monday, 20 July 2009 10:13 (fifteen years ago)

i swear every place does fries and aioli and a motherfucking lamb shank dish nowadays

wilter, Monday, 20 July 2009 10:16 (fifteen years ago)

Every pub SHOULD go back to the old days and serve chips in those old wicker baskets with tomato sauce.

Unfortunately, every fucking pub now serves chips on a plate with that horrible aioli substance. Because they want to be wanky cafes. With pokies.

three weeks pass...

I have many, many problems with Sydney and I think my biggest gripe (apart from the football, cost of living, poor infrastructure and the fact 97% of people are cunce) is that the pub food is just plain rubbish and/or wanky overpriced bollocks. Plus, I still remember the food poisoning incident!!

King Boy on Parole (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 08:50 (fifteen years ago)

thats a pretty accurate summation of sydney although i suspect it covers most of the country

Hillary had Everest in his veins (sunny successor), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 13:23 (fifteen years ago)

Nothing wrong with the football as soon as you get out of the heathen Rugby League states!!

King Boy on Parole (King Boy Pato), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 20:03 (fifteen years ago)

Nobody in Australia calls football 'football', instead calling all sorts of other demented shit 'football' e.g. AFL, NRL, curling, poker, darts. Cost of living is rubbish in Sydney only, but cost of housing is rubbish everywhere. Infrastructure is poor everywhere. 97% of Sydney people are cunce but only 3% of Melbourne people are cunce. Pub food is grebt in Melbourne and only sometimes overpriced. I think what you are trying to say is that Sydney is a shithole.
